Apologies to a commander

Being interdicted is by nature a hostile act. Waiting around to see what the other guy does or just sitting there and letting them get the first shot gives them the advantage. I generally either go on the attack or start my escape sequence immediately. One time I got interdicted by a cmdr that just wanted to chat and I depoyed hardpoints and accidentally ran into him because I was expecting a life or death battle, lol.

I'm not sure whether this post is serious, but it's amusing nonetheless

Let me get this straight: Someone interdicted you, you opened fire but stopped when they showed no signs of retaliation. Then you both low waked away, and the same CMDR interdicted you again, with no communications of their intentions in either instance?

I admire your humility, but I don't think there's a reason to apologise when someone is pretty much asking to get shot with their actions :)

I agree with this guy. Anyone who interdicts me is at the very least guilty of interrupting whatever I was doing. If they want to see my sparkly ship I'll give them the guided tour, starting with a Fixed 4A Overcharged (L5) Plasma Accelerator.

*smiles sweetly*

That's kind of what I think when I get the old "What are you carrying?" Message. I reply "Weapons! Let me show you!".

Interdiction = Hostile Act, Hostile Act = Deadly Response

To the OP : You were VERY nice to the CMDR. I wouldn't have let him get away. ESPECIALLY a second time.

Well, there was this cmdr interdicting cmdrs in open during Christmas holidays, he would open voice comm with his "victim" and starting singing Christmas songs along with his children... One never knows :)
