They kind of have a point as well, we are bonkers to be shelling out £100 for PB access, or in fact buying any game and/or season pass before or shortly after launch. When you can wait a short time and pick it up for peanuts on sale or in a "gold" package.

Funny, but despite everything I have played since Elite on the Acorn Electron, the game I have fondest memories of has always been Elite.

It was the most half-arsed non convincing apology ever. When interviewed Ben maintained that his opinion was that we are all still idiots.

We are, but we're idiots that are in the Alpha / Beta of Elite so whilst his opinion may be relevant to him, it isn't to me and shouldn't be to anyone here who thinks their money well spent. Personally, I think they are idiots for backing SC over Elite but others will disagree....

Did anyone really get offended by these lads messing about and joking?

I listened, it made me chuckle as it's a bit stupid, and that's the end of it surely?

Getting to the point where they have to publish official apologies is a little OTT... isn't it?
