Arachnophobia Mode Please

The game is great, But man those spiders trigger me. If we be able to replace the image of the spiders (or maybe snakes too as I know some people have an issue with them as well) with even just a blank image in the Zoopedia and Exhibit animal trades menu, that would be great. I know of other games that have this sort of feature.
Please please do something about this. I want to be able to use exhibit animals, or even not be impacted by career zoos that already have them

This came up a fair bit when the game released, and it confused me even back then. I don't understand what is so difficult about just not using the spiders, and not looking at their Zoopedia entries. Even if they are already in a career zoo, you don't have to interact with them at all.

That isn't to say I care one way or another about such a feature being included - it's not like anyone would lose anything - I just don't understand why it's such a big deal (and I have my share of legitimate phobias, though not towards any animals, so I understand the irrational aspect of it).

It's as you say- irrational. I don't use spiders, and try my best to not look, but even seeing a tiny picture in the corner of my eye is enough. I can mainly ignore them in the zoopedia, but the trading menu is where I have the most issues. 'Just don't use Exhibit animals' is not particularly helpful as I brought the game like everyone else. I have spent money on DLC that includes exhibit animals. Exhibit animals are an awesome feature, so why can't I use it when it could actually be fixed quite simply.
I'll even accept a guide from the devs to how to safely replace the image file without risking to my saves.
I feel like I should be able to play a game without fear

While yes, you couldnt use spiders, snakes, whatever, it also shouldnt be much work to make a mode where snakes and/or spiders dont have icons/are by default filtert out by the zoopedia.
Being able to have taxonomic groups as filters would be nice in general and a good QoL feature and adding a setting alongside it that has snakes and/or spiders allways filterd out isnt that much to ask

I can't link it on the forums due to rules, but on my Nexus (Which is linked in my descriptions of my videos maybe?) I just published one that removes the visuals of Spiders, Tarantulas, and Scorpions from the game, Icons, Zoopedia, etc. Animals are still there and can be purchased, but at least you won't see their pictures!
