FD are going to have to hand craft the moon (Luna) so that will be the reason for the permit ... they probably haven't finished it yet.

mars has a surface pressure equivalent to an altitude at 50 thousand feet here on earth, Totally not airless, you'd still be able to fly a jumbo jet there just fine.

Also because staying well below the Armstrong line(limit) of ~62,000ft is a good call. These rather clingy pressure suits that Elite pilots are wearing are amazing...

Edit: Not a comment on the jet flying on Mars, just an additional note on altitude and pressure with Elite looking at atmospheric landing in the future.

As i understood, no, you should be able to get that permit, so it will be ready. But you'll need to work a little to get access.

Thats what I wanted to look for but the damn Feds have put a permit on Sol.

Mercury has no atmosphere. I got into the game today and checked.

In Sol system you can land on Mercury, all moons except Titan. You can also land on Pluto & Charon.
