Are people actually naming their stuff?

I've been naming a large part of the things I've built. I had been kicking myself for a decade for not pledging higher in the Kickstarter (to the "name a station" level) so when given the opportunity I went a little overboard. But I've always spent a fair bit on the game. I was raised on Elite and The Micro User, what can I say?

(As for... another space game, I've belatedly paid well over the odds for those pirated copies of Stryker's Run, Wizadore and Codename: Droid)

the ingame aquisition of arx is a joke,dont bother with it

I've only named one so far after my other half. She has a zoo of critters: Scorpions, Bearded Dragon, Rankins Dragon, Snails, Slugs, Blue Death Feigning Beetles etc so my first Coriolis was called Beckys World of Critters. The next station is going to be called Jingles Landing and eventually I will have a T3 station orbitting a Black Hole or Neutron Star and call it Smedhurst Observatory after the astrophysicist Dr Becky Smedhurst (not the same Becky referred to with the first station I might add ). Those are the only ones I plan to pay ARX to name, the rest are random.

I wish though you could "roll" the first and second names of a station seperately.

With some luck you can also get what you want at rolling. At my "main" system I have choose for myself a theme "Germany" and became almost instantly my German region name as a name for my primary Coriolis. Other facilities here are named mostly after German scientists - there are lots of therm, so it's pretty easy to choose.
And a agriculture Coriolis in a system nearby bears the name of my wife Tatyana - and she indeed likes gardening.
With ARX I've named only a T3 station in the "main" system - the refinery for our squadron.

The game randomly generated an Italian scientist name for one of my stations ("Mussolini Sanctuary" I believe it was - a refinery station), so I decided to go with the same idea, except the theme is Italian!

I was thinking of naming a bar I built in my original system that...
My favorite name so far is "Rita Fay's General Store" for a Coriolis I built that has quite a lot of things I need for my system. Another is named "Rita Fay's Fancy". My first was named "Piper's Port O' Call". I typically only name the Orbitals.
