Are people really not doing comunity goals?

I'm definitely not doing anything to do with Community Goals, Power Play, or anything like that.

The fact that I am many thousands of LYs away from inhabited space and heading further out has nothing to do with it of course.

I went to Dajoar last night tooled up to see if I could kill any blockers or general baddies and the place was deserted. There were a couple of newbie's passing through but that was it. I hung around for ages and passed the time interdicting wanted NPC's and doing a few small local missions, but nothing.

Such a shame.

I had signed up for the med hauling and pirate CG in Dajoar and spent some time at the nav beacon, getting interdicted very occasionally, and dropping into USS/SSS locations to take out any baddies I could find. $750k later, not one of them counted towards the CG. Where were all of these pirates that were interfering with trade?

I'm pretty sure CGs will pick up again once people have recovered from their powerplay burnout.

I'm willing to bet that one problem is that CGs went from being pinned in the news feed IN YER FACE to being just another part of the Galnet feed. It's harder to find them. I'm getting a bit of a PP burnout and heard about the medicine delivery CGs *yesterday* and would've loved a CG (because I really need those A thrusters for my Conda, y'know?). The Galnet feed isn't really that interesting.

waiting for aug 5th. since i hope the news will motivate me to play then, i am too burnt out to bother with it atm

The pirates left...I tried to participate in one but it was too boring without pirates to dodge/hunt. Did participate in Eleu last night because I heard of a blockade. Even though I knew the CG was going to fail I did it for R.P. reasons and both the blockaders and I had a blast. They tried to stop me, which overall they couldn't, but they kept trying and it made the experience more fun. Especially since both sides were R.P.ing very well.

New player (2 weeks), tried the last CG (robotics) though it was ok, but could be a lot better if the goals were a little more reasonable. Saw this one, heard all the bi+ching about how it was unattainable, heard about all the ganking and greifing, decided it was not worth my time and risking my shiny new Asp, so I stayed away. Was not even remotely interested after about the first 2 days worth of comments. I don't like fool's errands, and these CGS this week were TOTALLY fool's errands.
