Are rare merit goods disabled again?

As the title says, has earning merits from rare goods been disabled again?

Last week I did a couple of rounds of about 400t in rare goods and I got merits just like before they disabled it, so I set out to accumulate about 1000t in my carrier to sell them today and I was surprised that I didn't get anything this time, the only different thing I did last time is that I did two rounds with my Type-8 in the old systems like Orrere, Diso, Leesti, etc., and then I went to a system of my faction to sell and both times I got the merits, but this time I accumulated the goods in my carrier and then jumped to a more far system (still of my faction that is Pranav Antal) and now I got nothing, hence my doubt, I have another 700t on hold while I confirm if they actually disabled them again or if it's a bug or whatever so I don't lose them too, at least this time I didn't set out to accumulate 10000t and then they disabled them T-T.

It's a little frustrating that F-devs disable things out of nowhere after enabling them again, as if we had a lot of free time to just get the merits elsewhere after wasting time on this, because it is a good method for those of us who do not have much free time to increase the rank of PP2.0, not all of us can dedicate ourselves to mining platinum for hours or selling common goods one at a time, in order to be able to rank up at a good pace.

Anyway, if anyone knows anything, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know.

I wonder if they're capped, let me go look at the release notes...hmmm, all its says is "Re-enabled rare good merit rewards".

Checking the FAQs...hmmm, the only thing listed is they need to be legal in the target system.

nvm...

Once the Children of the crew aboard the Carrier start playing with the Rares, they lose their Near Mint condition, and the Powers refuse to give merits.

Don't store Rares on the Carrier, you have to transport them directly.
AH! Good to know! Since it worked before and I didn't see any note about transporting rare goods for merits in a carrier, I went back to using the method that worked before they were disabled. Needless to say, I'll have to preserve their freshness by transporting them directly. At least now I have an excuse to use the Type-8.

On the other hand, at least I didn't accumulate 10,000T again only to have them disabled just a day before I had time to sell them XD. Anyway, 720T of Sonthil Relics that won't give me any merits T-T.

I lost a few hours last week using my carrier. It would be nice to have been informed of the change, but that's part of the Real-Life Simulation that Frontier seem to like including in their game.

I had also done the same thing, as in my main account at the beginning of PP2.0 accumulating them in the carrier worked, the first thing I did when I saw that this time it didn't work for me was to look if there was a note in the update that indicated if this method could no longer be used, as I didn't have the time at the moment to check if transporting them directly without going through the carrier worked (besides I didn't think about checking this at the time), I directly asked to see if anyone knew anything.

Anyway, I'm already remembering how tedious it was to raise the rank to 100 on my main account, I was just in the process of raising ranks on my secondary account which is barely at 10 and I saw it as the easy way to do it, in any case, it will be time again with a lot of patience.

I agree, I had my doubts about whether they had actually been enabled again and that's why I only did a couple of rounds in my T-8 to make sure, I assumed it would still work with the carrier, at least I didn't waste much time on this this time, only about an hour, when they disabled rares the first time it was a blow to my liver and my free time XD.

The truth is that they should have warned about this, I imagine we weren't the only ones.

I noticed Rares were working for Merits again only because, on a whim, I thought I'd check. I had a newly colonised system in Range of a Stronghold and wanted to advance it. Of course, the next logical step would have been to use my Carrier, but this game has taught me........

Test and verify.

Not that I know something, just Plat mining observation: during mining CG some Plat demand emerged and I've tried to use it. However: when selling Plat to Station even with demand 600+ there is a cup for merits around 80-100 tons sold per one selling session, after that cup no more merits given. I will not be surprised if something like that was implemented when selling Rares.
