Are space vampires good for the health of the game?

As some of you are already aware, in the aftermath of the open-mode player event Operation:Tinman, I, Zarek Null, Overlord of the Galaxy, unleashed a vampiric sentient artificial intelligence named SAI-4 upon the galaxy. His origins and activities can be seen here:



My question is, do you believe that space vampires such as SAI-4 are good for the health of the game?

Any backstory is better than no backstory when you just want to shoot other players.

That being said, I prefer more hard sci-fi approach, less fantasy cliches.
But it might be funny to meet this kind of individual having a delusional disorder of some sort, thinking he is a robotic vampire.

I'm not too sold on the idea of space vampires, but at least it's a better suggestion than space zombies.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much choice in the matter. The whole thing was some sort of engineering mess up on the part of Dr. Minsky. SAI-4 was supposed to be a super-intelligent AI that helped me conquer the galaxy:

...but instead he's ended up spending most of his time feeding on commanders order to avoid loss of cognition.

Also, Z0 is a woman? Was Operation: Tinman that kind of operation or have I just been "assuming gender", as the kids say? It certainly was not evident from the Evil Overlord outfit, but a fully-encased flightsuit with helmet and cape doesn't really give anything away.

I would say that: Space Vampires, would be good for the heath of the game; because, it would give players, more things to hunt and kill.

Well no one has hunted SAI-4 so far, though SAI-4 has hunted and destroyed ~50 commanders already. And SAI-4 is only flying a shieldless, unengineered eagle.

I'm so torn. On the one hand, noob stomping. Weak.

But ZN has some of the best ED roleplay I've seen. That video was f'in great. The whole thing with the kidnapping was ridiculous, in a good way. And the thargoid sacrifice and landing rats videos had me literally LOL'ing for minutes.

I'm mostly sad that being a console player, I can never encounter this space vampire.

Agreed. Although Commander Null is a fruitcake, I have the greatest respect for his Creator. Outrageous silliness is great for the game and I very much enjoy playing with my food.

Onionhead has no effect on SAI-4.

His only known weakness is to some ancient, 21st century software created by a company known as "Frontier". This software was some of the buggiest ever created, and if it were incorporated into SAI-4's firmware, his processor matrix would freeze instantly.

That may just be speculation on my part: Based upon, mannerisms, general mood swings; timed with the Luna cycle. Plus that 'constant' need for attention and adulation.
