They are called threat 6 wings for a reason.
The reason being that people in super-pimped Anacondas can brag doing them alone.

Where's the fun in using a large/medium ship?! I've done a few in my Vulture...very much brown trousers time if you make any mistakes...and the annoying thing is, after taking 1 down, while keeping them at distance to let my shields recharge they sometimes wake out...and the one you killed magically reappears!!!A large combat ship shouldn't have any trouble, but they can be tricky with a medium. Gunning down the beam Vulture first can help a lot. Chaff is also quite useful.
Is that based on the ship you are using when you accept the mission or the one you turn up to the fight in?They used to have Cutters as the target, that was exciting. Now less so.
There are some tricks to making it quite tame in Solo, if you're trying to press the easy button.
The difficulty comes in on the type of ship you fly and its rigging.
A well fitted Corvette can kill the target and its escorts with a bit of drama but no real risk in losing your ship.
I go after the target, let the my Corvette shields and hull absorb the damage until the target is down, then I will go after the escorts, some will leave if the fight is not to their liking.
It's based on the rank of the mission, ship used doesn't affect mission templates. Is that based on the ship you are using when you accept the mission or the one you turn up to the fight in?
Can’t test this myself as I don’t do missions.
Did not know that. Every day is a school day with EDIt's based on the rank of the mission, ship used doesn't affect mission templates.
One way to make them easy is accept them in high security with report crimes on and interdict the target, don't go to the USS. Cops will spawn for each wanted target which hits you... so if it's a wing of five, that's about 15 vipers which will rock up to support
