ARGH

Heading back to psycho space, want get in and out as fast as possible.
Yeah, already in Synuefe -area, almost there, surely everything is tagged in that volume?
Honk the horn - agh, 45 Astronomical Objects, a pristine system!

All those High Metal content planets beckoning my way...
Oh why? :D

I'm hauling bottom and still 15,500LY away from Sol. I'm going to freak the first time I see an explored system on the way in :)

Anyone who doesn't believe in time travel obviously has never tried flying long-distance with OCSD (obsessive compulsive scanning disorder). You think you're a few hours away from Sol, then a few weeks later........

I'm somewhere in Synuefe, I barely stumble across a discovered system. Clearly it's the uncool part of the Synuefe catalogue.

Synuefe and Wregoe, altough almost touching Sol, are almost completly uncharted. Each is a 1000Ly side square, and beeing in a med-density area they contain millions of stars, more than has ever beeing discovered by all explorers put togheter.

I think a lot of CMDRs just can't appreciate how big and unexplored it really is. What is the most systems scanned by a single explorer? 10,000? 20,000? Even if everyone was an explorer there are something like a million each. I think from about 750ly the only tags I've seen have been on "shiny" systems.

quite right !
Regarding the whole Galaxy : Even if there were 100K explorers(there isn't) and each did 10K systems(only a handful ,or 2, have) that is 1 billion. Multiply by 100, just in case I am totally wrong, that is 100B , still leaves us 300B after 6 months. Many years of discoveries to come yet ! :)
