Arrive by Shuttle... But leave by suffocation?

Afternoon all,

Was unable to find a thread currently talking about this..

I decided to try out my first foot mission being a 'raid'

Arrived via the apex taxi and completed this mission.. but had no way to recall or leave the settlement, therefore my only choice was to run out of oxygen on the landing pad and be re-spawned at my mission station stating that because i had died the mission was a failure?!?

Is there a way to leave by shuttle once completing a mission or is it just safer to fly to all locations yourself so you know you have a way to get off the rock.

Thanks again
Predz.

Interesting - I did think about this not knowing much about Elite Dangerous in general, if I can get a taxi to a place I would imagine I could back? but is this not correct? seems a bit weird if so.

You can open another wheel by holding Q or whatever that is set to with your keybinds. That should allow you to call a shuttle.

:D ! I think my bind for the item wheel has been put to Q as all of the binds were blank at the beginning..

What option in the foot controls is this other wheel listed under ?

Thanks

ON FOOT MODE SWITCHES -> OPEN ACCESS PANEL; to open it
GENERAL CONTROLS=>INTERFACE MODE-> UI PANEL Up Down Left Right back; to navigate it

But which key bind actually gets the selected action to take place? I somehow got my ship to dismiss using the access panel. I assumed it was the interact key bind, but that didn't work at first and I was pressing a lot of stuff when the ship finally took off. Then I opened up the access panel again, navigated to "recall ship", and then I can't get anything to happen. Interact, second interact, mouse 1 (fire), closing the panel - nothing works.

I think I'm having some hardware conflicts that are actually causing the problem, but I want to make sure about what key bind is correct. Thanks.

Bear in mind cmdrs, when I first loaded up Odyssey Alpha, I spent well over a hour (before even starting the game) going through each keybind & setting them to my 'playstyle'.

Only to spend another hour the following morning, getting them binded correctly for me being a 'leftie' after experiencing the game with the binds I'd chosen.

Only to spend a further hour making more adjustments, when my Gamepad arrived, to give me a better selection for the 'thousands' of binds needed to play ED/EDO.

I now have three written lists of my new settings, while muscle memory kicks in........luckily I'd saved my Binds folder (just in case), but it wasn't required - as the Odyssey download seems to have retained my files.....................

...........the setting of keybinds in ED/EDO is a game in itself :ROFLMAO:

For the record, my problem was my mouse pointer moving outside the Odyssey client window and the game losing focus. I made the window full screen to prevent this and it has solved all the problems I've been having with my mouse.
