Artemis suit - best mods

Almost all my exo has been done with an off the shelf G2 or G3 suit with no mods, I do most with an AspX but also use a Sidewinder up in the mountains. The only occasional problem is light or lack of it but both ship and SRV have lights and you can also scan with the sampler which will illuminate a sample for a few seconds if its out of the light.

Never had any problem with power, have easily done up to 6 scans (2 bio's) before returning to ship to recharge.

I really think we could do with a 3rd SRV, one especially for surface exploration - a little flyable thing, no weapons & minimal armour but quite fast to get around and can fly to say 100m
This idea has, of course, come up before, I fancied something like the Optica aircraft but with skimmer lift drive mechanisms but another comment I saw makes me think of the scooters from Fireball XL5.

I made a post about this on Reddit. Most people didnt like the idea of a SLF type SRV for people that use large ships.

A flying SRV has many benefits, including expanding the racing scene. Medium and large ships can land anywhere they want and you can still jump in and fly around in search of unicorn exo-bio on a planet. It would have a better scanner than the Scarab and Scorpion. The downside is you cannot carry cargo and no weapons, so you cannot do guardian sites or farm mats on planets. But it would have the ability to drop a beacon that anyone can see that lasts for 30 minutes.

Hell yeah landable SLF is the way to go. I still enjoy assaying the area from my SLF but could really use an eject button at least to get out and call the mothership down
