Articulation Motors?

Hi cmdr's, any idea where to find articulation motors now? They seem to have disappeared and as far as I can see not being offered as mission rewards. Any other source for these like mega ships?

What do you need/want them for? I've seen them as a mission reward in a couple of places - I'd guess where the economy is high-tech or industrial.

They serve no purpose for engineering anymore. They're just junk items that are left cluttering up the game. You can still trade from them in a very small number of stations, if EDDB is still accurate:

Am just unlocking the Guardian tech and they're needed for the turreted plasma charger and sadly can't be bought. :rolleyes:

There are a few other threads started were people have posted the same concern. It seems that most commodities that were available only via mission rewards (articulation motors included) are just unavailable.

Bug reports have been created for the Devs to review. As of right now though, this item in particular cannot be purchased anywhere (eddb.io only shows locations in which to sell articulation motors, not purchase them) and yes, they are normally useless unless you want to unlock certain items form a tech broker, specifically guardian related. You are not alone in this issue, and it is quite frustrating, especially for those like myself whom spent a week searching for all the other materials.

Some folks have reported missions recently that give out these and other missing commodity items, and if anyone is reading this, please give as specific information as possible as to where you saw this. There are a lot of folks whom are flying aimlessly right now looking around and any help would be appreciated.

Oooh, didn't know these could be bought.

Does that suggest Microweave coolant hoses can also be bought somewhere, I wonder?

TBH, locating this stuff shouldn't be a big deal these days.
It's fairly easy to find missions offering dozens of the bloody things as rewards in high-tech systems (rather than 2 or 4, which used to be the case) so it doesn't take much effort to obtain them.
