Arx false advertising.

Fdev you are blatantly lying about the "bonus" arx that players get from buying the bigger arx packages. This is just shameful.

This image has the correct bonuses vs the fdev versions. Not one fdev version is anywhere near being less than twice the actual bonus.

This is legitimately upsetting. Its one thing to waste 4 months of dev time on a mobile game system with the promise of "you can earn cosmetics in game" to placate us with the reality being that it would take 0.75 years to buy a single ship kit, its another thing to lie so openly, so blatantly, so shamelessly about the pricing of this mobile game tier in game currency.

And if this was somehow accidental, thats almost worse.

Then why are the numbers listed off from what they should be, its not to make them round because the 51000 arx if a weird number and 50000 is what it should be without any "bonus" and is more of a round number.

Also, the current bonus numbers are added in, it used to just be the first numbers without a bonus in parentheses.

I don't see a problem with numbers being weird - they're all completely arbitrary. And what it "should be" is determined solely on what FD wants numbers to be, that's about it.

I kinda think the numbers are not multiples of each others and a bit weird, because the things we buy might match these numbers better and because we can buy multiples ourselves.
So far it makes a lot of sense to me. Everything else we will see as soon as we see the prices. Before it's all wild speculation.

How do you read that OP and get "I think the numbers are weird" as my main complaint?

The earn while you play arc are fine. Some paint jobs would take a week and a half, but we also haven't seen the individual purchase price of kit pieces or paints, so perhaps one week is enough for a spoiler. In any case cosmetics just got way cheaper.

I don't understand why you assume you know anything about the 'bonus'.
For me it looks like you're getting additional ARX (in form of +something bouns) for buying bigger packs.
I'm not sure what you're suggesting those bonuses are.

Because, as I explained before, the numbers on the left are not right if there is no bonus, nor do they make sense to be rounded up or anything as they are rounded to weird values, and the numbers on the right were added, without changing the numbers on the left, about 40 minutes after the initial post.

Unless you mean to tell me that fdev decided to give an extra 15000 arx last minute, those numbers are supposed to be built in.

maybe OP you can explain, for example, where you get your '66 bonus 15% of listed' from?

When I look at the ARX/£ it all looks pretty sensible, so I guess I'm missing something - and I can't work out what your figures are, so I guess I'm missing something

I mean to tell you, that it looks like they're promoting buying bigger ARX packs with additional, bonus (free) ARX.

I made a table to x-check this bonus.
The calculation considers that the real cost of the arx is given in the first package where you get no bonus. So that with 2.99GBP you get exactly 5000 arx. This allows to fix the price of a single arx in terms of real money (GBP).

ARX COST = GBP / ARX --> 2.99/5000 = 0.000598 GBP/ARX

The following packages are then calculated to see what's the real arx value and what's the real difference (bonus) that you get:

I think the correct legal wording would be theft by deception. Good luck, I bet they can afford a much better lawyer than any willing to sue them for it.

False advertising is more akin to 'redbull gives you wings' whereas clearly it does not

really weird assumption about what bonus means.
Note that it has a plus (+) sign in the bracket, which to me means... the bonus will be added to the amount bought.

Sure. 5000 arx for £3 is 1666 and 2/3 arx per £. Using that as a baseline, for £5 you could expect 8333 and 1/3 arx, but you get 8400 which is 66 more than what you should get using the baseline of 5000 for £3 but only 15% of the supposed 420 bonus.

And I would agree that it makes sense that they are just rounding and the bonus should be added, save for two factors. First, they were listed without the bonus numbers at first, and second the numbers just don't make sense from a rounding perspective, case in point being the £30 option which should just be 50000 arx but is 51000 as if someone decided to give it a 1k bonus.

Maybe Fdev is saying its 51000 with an additional 3000 bonus, but why phrase it like that when its actually 50000 with a 4000 bonus?
