No need to guess, the arx guide has most of it nailed down.

Ok, 400 ARX are free every week providing one plays the game. I personally never get involved any more than I had to when it comes to using the commodity board or mining. I did what I had to, and never again. How many ARX am I missing out on by not getting involved in commodity trading or mining, I'll never know; Nor do I care. IF the only way I could obtain the free ARX every week, is by doing trading via the commodity board and or mining. Then I would never ever get any. I mean, big deal, it's only 400 a week, what's the big deal.

You get zero arx for mining so you're not missing anything there.

The arx guide forum post is pretty good. I hit the cap every week and found my chosen method there.

There's first world problems too because you get bored of it after a while and there's nothing in the store. There's something about how the last sale worked.. I don't know if I'm going to be excited ever again. In game discovery of new shinies takes the wind out of any exitement for some reason. Ie it sucks.

Yeah that's it. A new shiny is reason enough to turn on elite, but finding out if there is a new one isn't. So it doesn't matter and you've just disengaged from cosmetics. I'm not waiting for the launcher and planet generation just so I can pay them money etc.

Sorry what I forgot to say and really meant was, I actually went through all the ships last sale to see if I wanted one of the new skins, and I'm not going to do that again.

2 hours of exploration gave me 23 Arx. It says "Exploration 13, Other 10".

You get 1 ARX every 5 jumps, 1 for every jumponium synthesis and ns/wd boost but they don't count as exploration, the count as synthesis, you get 1 for each new Codex discovery.

Only thing I ever noticed was, regardless of what I do, is that the more often I dock the more ARX I get.
But maybe it's just me..

You get a lot of ARX for turning in exploration data, so for explorers that's a given, I don't know how it affects other game play styles.
