ARX Ship Early Access Update

Will be interesting to see if in the new vanguards update allows a guild/vanguard etc to be able to share ships with each other. On this basis one member unlocks early access and then can then buy extra versions for the guild. Incentive there to save arx and guild up I would say.

I think a lot of Cmdrs are planning to get two Clippers immediately - the unlocked ARX one first and a Shipyard bought one right after. I’ve thought the same, one for Carrier hauling and one for shifting metals etc from refineries.
Does that mean one you can summon anywhere (unengineered) and the other you can engineer up. Never bought with ARX before and had only planned to get the A rated Stellar but can see the logic in what you say, if I understand correctly

I’ve only ever purchased the Standard ARX ships. If I’m correct in my thinking, it’s only the Stellar version that you can deploy anywhere (in its original bought format.) So if you find yourself at Station B you can deploy that ship there but you must first sell it from its location at Station A, thereby avoiding shipping time and costs. Someone who has a Stellar version and has done this would need to confirm or correct that.

What I meant is simply that when I purchase the standard version with ARX I will deploy that one, then go and buy another one with credits from a shipyard that stocks it so that I have two. When you buy with ARX, either version, the ship also unlocks in shipyards (that sell it) for in game credits so you can have as many of them as you wish ….. but only the first, ARX bought, one has the benefits that come with ARX purchased ships.

Hope that makes sense! :)

EDIT: I engineer regardless but that’s because I don’t use the summon feature (due to buying the cheaper version.)

I know I am. I did that with all the ships, and I don't really use the deployable ones - unlock whatever version I want with ARX, then immediately buy a hull in the shipyard and outfit and engineer THAT one.

Exactly. All the new ships I have are shipyard bought hulls, and in theory I can deploy any of the ARX versions anywhere at any time if I need one. Never did that though.

Does that include the cheap ‘standard’ version? I’ve never tried summoning one of my ARX ships as I thought only the stellar ones allowed this. Although, I wouldn’t want to lose the engineering so I doubt I’d do it even if I could.

is it only the ARX ships that get the cheap replacement if you are killed? in other words, if we get an ARX stellar version, then buy a standard panther clipper for 200+ mil, it will have a high replacement fee if lost or stolen?

Correct, only the ARX ships in unchanged configuration have zero rebuy. Any additional one bought through the shipyard follows standard rules.

i was j/k on the lost or stolen phrase lol

anyhow i want the ship kit and decals :/ i wonder if purchasing the standard with ARX and the ship kit and decals would save anything at all

Both ARX versions have the same deployment/rebuy/transfer options the only difference is which modules are fitted when deployed and what if any paints and kits come with them.

Based on the earlier ships that would probably be more expensive plus the paint is often exclusive to the stellar version.

That's usually the reason I bought the stellar versions of the ships, when I knew I wanted the ship kit. The stellar version is usually cheaper than normal unlock plus ship kit, and, as you said, usually comes with a paint you cannot buy.

my cutter 'El Tigre' has never been destroyed, but it has been "stolen" by authorities and impounded
i shot the sheriff, but i swear it was in self defense
