ARX to CR

Just think about it, games shouldn't use this method to have any in game advantage for real money. For cosmetics is ok, but not for ships or modules.
(I was waiting for this message)

I'm not sure which fleet carriers will give an advantage (I think time will tell)
But now, only for real money you can get an advantage in PVP combat. Try to beat me without engineers (dlс horizons)?

Buying a DLC that gives you full access for the game (yeah, including engineers) not the same with having for example a Corvette for real money just because I'm too lazy to grind the rank that allow me to buy it. See the difference?
I think the opposite. Having already bought horizons, I will make my ship stronger and I will win even PVP battles against those people who did not buy the add-on.
But what kind of advantage fleet carriers will give is not yet clear.
And in the case of not buying DLC (horizons) YOU are really cut off from engineers and improvements. In the case of aircraft carriers, there is NO restriction.
You can get 5mm credits in the game and also buy an fleet carrier.

I can't explain it better with my english...
One real advantage we know yet about Carriers is the 500Ly jump range. To me as explorer is a huge thing.

I mean advantage on the fringe, where you need jumponium to reach systems. Also there are systems out of that range even if it's a min-maxed Conda.

Advantage over whom?

Again, I repeat that, unlike the same Horizons, you can always buy an fleet carrier for regular loans.

It doesn't matter what advantage something gives you. When you can skip gameplay for cash it's pay-to-win mechanics and it's something that ruins gaming. Games are then designed to force you to pay, because of the grind and time walls.
Absolutely NO!
This 100%. Once you introduce the ability to spend real money on gameplay shortcuts, it incentivises the developer to make the game grindier to turn more players into payers.

Personally, if FDev ever introduce something like this into ED, I will uninstall the game permanently. It's a cynical, exploitive, and greedy practice that shouldn't exist outside of crappy, mobile F2P games.

pay-to-win

I still do not understand why the purchase of fleet carriers is considered pay-to-win and you can buy fleet carriers without a real contribution.
And buying an add-on with which I can make my ship much more powerful and this improvement I can only do for real money is not considered pay-to-win.

Can you defeat me without engineers, who completely engineered his ship?

And why are people sure that the fleet carriers will give some sort of advantage in battle ...

Well, no, no, it’s just not clear what to do with the ARX which is becoming more and more every day.

If you're willing to pay real money to skip a game's central gameplay loops then you have to ask yourself, are you even enjoying the game and why play at all?

But just OWNING Horizon DLC does NOT give you any advantage... you still have to unlock engineers, and then you have to collect materials to upgrade your modules... ie, you have todo ALOT of gameplay stuff to get to have an engineered ship... There is no shortcuts bypass game content.

This argument about PvP is equally ridiculous as, try to beat me in PvP without ownning Elite Dangerous game...

Now, lets compare to your suggestion...
Pay real money, get Arx
Use Arx to get ingame currency, ie credits
Use credits to buy stuff without having to spend any time in game earning credits...

So if we assume FC would not require any ingame ranks, etc, just being able to buy if you have the credits. Any "new" player on a new account, could pour in real money to buy Arx, then use the Arx to get to over 5 billion, and buy a Fleet Carrier, without having todo basically any gameplay.

If you are going to bring up wing-missions here, then to take advatange of that do require the recieving player to actually do some gameplay stuff, first, they do NEED to get to the station where they can turn in the missions. So they have to fly somehwere, and giving away 5 billion or so, will require ALOT of wing mission, and here atleast ANOTHER player does the work... Same with transfering high valued cargo, it is an active activity that requires all involved parties to engage in the activity.

And if you have so much money burning in your pocket, why not simply hire someone to play the game for you? The result would be the same. you pay real money, and then get stuff in game, and now you have someone else do all the stuff you do not want todo....

I look here, many advise me not to play this game, but alas, I can only disappoint you.
I am a fan of the Elite. In my youth, I spent days playing Elite 1 on the Spectrum, then while studying at the university I played Frontier on Amiga. Then he waited a very long time for the release of Elite 4.
Now I'm old enough and play only one game of the Elite.
There are many other things and it’s not always possible to play even a couple of hours a week. Nevertheless, I already played 1700 hours, received 2 Elites and Deadly.
I remember how I searched along with all the Starge bases, opened almost all the engineers, there are all Power Play modules necessary for me, etc. and it was interesting. But I never understood the stupid fulfillment of monotonous missions and therefore earned only the necessary amount of money in a varied game.
For 3 years of the game I only have the ships I need and about 1 kk of credits.
What do you think it will be interesting for me to earn another 4k loans over the next 5 years?
I’m more interested in destroying the Targoids, but it’s not such a lucrative business.

Depending on how FC commodity prices set by Commanders works, you'll be able to buy credits from your fellow players (or sweatshop credit farmers) with real money.

Please no Arx to credits, and I hope safeguards will be in place to prevent FCs from becoming credit selling stores.
