Logged in tonight for the first time in ages, spawned in Jamisons as usual, got the "you just earned 100 ARX!" message. OK, cool.

Few CMDRs there, thought I'd start a conversation, see what was going on.

Nothing.

OK, so, fair enough, not the talkative types, I went off and did a couple of missions.

Came back half a nour later, same ppl there, plus a few others. OK, chat again... nothing.

Watched FTR's latest YouTube, came back.. same ppl as before, still nothing going on.

Yeah, so looks like the new ARX thing is just making ppl log in and leave their account running.

So good work frontier 100arx a day, thats really making ppl come back to the game but is that the level of engagement you're looking for here?

Cos it feels a lot like you're just trying to pimp your stats.

My experience with ARX is that if you just log in and leave the game running you get very little if not no ARX points?
Anyhow, If I play the game, missions (trade etc.) then I seem to get to the maximum ARX in a relatively short time...or it could be that I just put in a in fair few hours of gameplay per week!

I must.admit I must be doing it wrong as I normally only earn 30 or so arx a session.
That said it's more than I used to get.

If they were leaving their computers on for arx they are going to be very disappointed. You will not get arx for sitting in a station you have to get out of dock and do something to get arx

Could have been AFK while running down the clock on notoriety safely parked in the station too.

My ARX is still 0, even after two hours of mining. FD must hate me.

Yeah, honestly that's a way more likely reason, and it was around long before ARX.
Or they could genuinely just be AFK for entirely normal reasons.

Check the mission board, see who's coming and going, a little background noise, run down notoriety, I don't want to.

What you described is pretty normal, it doesn't have anything to do with the arx rewards. That wouldn't make sense anyway, seeing as if all you want is the arx you just have to log on and off real quick.
