Fair enough Michael, but nothing has been given away. :S Some of the regulars on the forum are very despondent on the total lack of news. Me personally, I will always keep the faith, but there is a time to stay silent and busy an another time to stoke the fires of hope. :rolleyes:

You do have something to announce.
Please show me the post in the Announcements section where Frontier announce that development of The Outsider has been suspended indefinitely.

And while you are at it, please clarify the official status of Elite 4, it may be obvious to you and others at Frontier, but your potential customers are in a little bit of confusion. Is Elite 4 going to happen? Is Elite 4 not going to happen? You may know, but we don't.

I am not asking for much, just one post that could take two minutes to write in the announcements section. Just one post could show all of us Elite 4 core fanbase (because that is what we are) that we DO have something to hope for.

I apologise for asking this here, but your apparent lack of communication on the subject is, in my opinion, unprofessional and embarrassing.

Please prove me wrong and give us something to hope for.
We could wait another fifteen years if only someone at Frontier would have the guts to say "Elite 4 WILL happen"

We, the regular forum readers NEED to know one way or the other what the status is.
Also, Elite merchandise? Any in existence, such as clothing and miniatures?

1997 is the year (to my shame) when I gave up on there ever being an Amiga version of Elite 3, so I decided to look forward to the 4th game instead because Elite 3 was a buggy mess written for the even more (at the time) buggy PeeCees.

But well done to you for patiently waiting all this time :) Still, all this waiting does sometimes get to me now and then :S

Waiting patiently is not what I'm best at, maybe second best.
I just want Frontier to throw us a nice chewy bone from time to time :D

To use that analogy ...
We are starving for information and it's not us, the potential customers who are dying, it is the support for Frontier, support for Elite, support for Frontier: Elite II, support for Frontier First Encounters and support for Elite 4. THAT IS WHAT IS DYING.

That we have resorted to posting in a thread not intended for discussion on Elite 4 (and I apologise for that), should be a warning signal to those at Frontier that something needs to be done about it.

I have stated above what I think needs to be done, and I'll repeat it here, one post. Just one post that states whether Elite 4 is still going to happen. That is all we are asking for.

It is the silence that is killing the support.
