pvp or pve?
PVE go BiWeave thermal restence, and your favorite weapons of chocie, with a WEP focus power Distributer , and grade 5 dirty drives. You cant go wrong with that
for pvp,....god help you, just get an FDL
Also Krait Has less Sheilds But has a fighter, and is a bit faster
Even a grade 5 engineered Python has poor maneuverability to take on all enemies. It requires special flying skills to survive. Use it to make billions of credits engineering some very serious combat ships. If PvP is your goal an engineered Fer de Lance is a good place to start.

I used to fly a Python for combat, but I retired it in favour of the Krait... I deck mine out like this, noting I'm no fitting god... more like a fitting bot.

replace that 5e module reinforcement with a 5d. the e class is horrible against any type of weapon damage despite its description suggestion otherwise.
So... my understanding of the MRPs is as follows:
D class is 360 integrity, 60% resistance.
E class is 385 integrity, 30% resistance.
So if a module gets hit with 10 damage:
- In the D case, 4 damage goes through to the module, 6 damage to the MRP integrity
- In the E case, 7 damage goes through to the module, 3 damage to the MRP integrity
MRPs use D, don’t they?
Two smallest Class 1 slots and one bigger Class whatever slot for 3 MRPs total.
Gives 94% protection.
Damage goes through to biggest MRP first, so stack hit points there, the others are just for deflection.
2 MRPs is also worth doing, But with just one you get quite a bit of bleed though damage.
I see what you are saying about the 5E having more hit points, but I think tests show otherwise, and you want the damage to get soaked up by the MRP not your modules so the percentage is worth more.

Python Prismatic build (not recommend), he ask for a Python build, give him one instead of tell him to use meta, even though meta is indeed way stronger at doing what they are for.
You can change those weapon if you want, Python speed make it unfit for biweave so I use Prismatic shield. 2 SCB shield tank with more than enough heat sink, if you want you can take away one heat sink and replace with a shield booster instead.
The 2nd set with bi weave. Even I did said it is unfit for bi weave, it actually work a lot better. This is the build I will suggest if you go pvp. You gonna find a lot of pain when they reverski on you, but if they fool enough to get close, the DPS will finish them off. And with frag cannon and that 7A PD, you can save your pip on sys instead of wep and Eng, This build fit better on a krait or Mamba. But it still work on Python. Hope you like this set and use it for combat, I would love to see people use Python!
