Sorry but this model is not designed at all for 3d printing, and it'll need a lot of work to make it printable.
Anyway, when finished, this model will be share to anybody who wants for free, so 3d printer guys will have to opportunity to play with it.

The charm of high-poly hard surface modeling, rendered with ambient occlusion (or global illumination) and no texture... i love it. The form is very well done, so is the animation. And it has the bonus of being my favorite ship in the game :)

May i ask for some mesh-shots? I´d really like to see how polygons are distributed and how detailed the model actually is. Regardless, have some +1 Rep OP and keep it going.
 
An impressive job. Let's hope for other ships and maybe space stations

Honestly, with this level of details, it takes times, so I won't be able to do many ships.

For stations, I've only made 2 years ago schematics views of landing configurations of outposts (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/187861-Outposts-Docks-configurations) (the ones you can find on eddb.io) and planetaries cities (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=220185)

And I'm also working atm on a Jaques-like asteroid base for my player-faction group "La Guilde des Cartographes":

OMG !!!!

If this some how found its way to a 3d printer or got turned into a plastic kit I would be all over it, as I guess quite a few other Asp owners would.

Out of interest, did you use the ingame model from the loading screen as reference? Because I am playing with the though to rebuild the Cutter in Cinema4D. I would like to use the ingame mesh as reference. I know that one can extract it from the loading screen without the UVmap. But the whole process of that is a bit too high for me. So if you happen to have the Cutter mesh already somewhere, I would appreciate a PM. :D You would be the first to get the finished model at the end of course. :)

Heya Ian, I was wondering if you're willing to generate several X-Y cross sections of the ship? I was looking to create some floorplans for the asp for and EDRPG campaign assuming that there are 3 levels.

Would you be interested in this?
