ASP Explorer Limpet Problems

Ive just started void mining with the ASP, the first time was fine but since then the limpets seem to be glitching out, aswell as the Void opels themselves. The limpets either expire when returning to the ship or just dont work at all... So i then tried good old manual collection, the opels seem to register as cargo acquired but do not show up in INV or the refinery..

Ive heard there are glitches with the limpets but i cant seem to find a definitive answer to this problem, hopefully someone can shed light on this annoyance!

And I've just been mining in the Asp X, also with no problems. Limpets sometimes expire prematurely if you have something targeted, but I've not encountered the problems described.

If you look at the collector limpets trajectory as they return to the ship, you'll see thay take a big dip below the hull and rise to the cargo hatch.
If you're parked close to a large asteroid chunk, they can collide with it and expire. Same thing if the limpet has to fly around a large asteroid chunk to return with a cargo.
Sometimes, I've had to use 4-5 limpets to collect all the fragments, moving the ship each time to allow clear flight paths for the limpets.

I tend to core mine by letting the limpets collect the first 10-13 fragments from 600 m away, moving in after that so the limpets can only see the chunks I blast off with the abrasion blaster (direct line of sight.

Make sure you aren’t targeting cargo or fragments when you fire them, or else they will expire immediately after collecting one object, instead of collecting until they expire time wise.

Thanks for the advice, although none has worked. I cant even collect manually for some reason.. The cargo registers as going in but doesn't show up in INV or refinery.

It does sound like a bug but I can't find any reported issues with this exact problem. Could you post an issue on the Issue Tracker please? With as much info as you can. Thanks
