ASPing for trouble

I've gotten back into rares. My route nets about 2 mil per lap and doesn't take too long if I stick to it and don't get distraced by a side quest. I'm just going to take my time and try to work my way up to a Vulture when it comes out. I'm not in any rush. I play to have fun and as long as I am, all is good.

Getting blown up or loosing money on a bad trade is all part of the game It's not Elite Warm and Fuzzy after all.

Something is wrong if you're actually buying hydrogen fuel for something other than a fetch quest. Take the loss and move on, be thankful it's not even 200cr.

Yep, why anyone would choose to trade hydrogen escapes me. It's cheap to buy, but you'll struggle to make even 100cr/t.
If working capital is tight then you're better trading fewer of the more expensive commodities - I like silver, generally at least 500cr/T without trying.
Something else that can help profits if you have a half empty hold is to pick up 10T of some cheap commodity that is often subject of a fetch mission (eg. fruit and vegetables, coffee, tea) and at your destination check the BB before you sell them because missions can pay well for cheap goods.
