AspX vs Phantom for deep space exploration

Having trouble deciding between these two ships.

AspX
-much better supercruise handling

Phantom
-extra slot for second AFMU
-can carry larger SRV hangar with a spare SRV
-slightly better aesthetics and engine sounds

The Phantom would be a slam dunk if its SC handling wasn't so inferior to the AspX. The second AFMU and spare SRV would be nice to have but are less needed than ever with FCs about to permeate the galaxy. So for me it almost seems to come down to SC handling vs aesthetics.

After long exploration spells with both I've gone back to the Asp Explorer for good. Mainly due to the supercruise handling and better cockpit view. I've never needed a second AFMU.

2 accounts here - with some notable exceptions where i had to run a Conda, all my longer trips (where longer means > 3000 ly) where in a AspX

I also have 2 phantoms, but they don't see much use since i'm not really a reversky-er

Phantom. Loved my Asp (except the weed eater engine noise), but agree with others, Phantom is a much sweeter (and more capable) ride.

Phantom if you want the extra capability. AspX if you want the extra view + supercruise handling.

If I have to decide between that two, yes, Phantom.
But take a look at the Orca. You get aesthetics AND sc handling, but paying with ~10ly less jump range

After doing over 0.5M Ly in AspX and over 0.3M Ly in Phantom I've chosen... DBX. The best fit in my idea of exploring.
