Assault ship, Dropship or Gunship

Here is an great example of the Dropship going toe to toe with a hard counter build Chieften... The dropship is a really overlooked ship.

FDS for durability, FAS for agility, FGS for SLF and firing 7 guns from a medium ship.

The SLF does add a nice extra dimension to PvE too. Once you get your pilot up a grade or two, they're pretty handy at looking after the mothership and you can have a huge laugh in the fighter.

I never got on with the hardpoint placement in the FAS, but some people seem to like it.

Dropship if you want to do mainly Missions but also seeking a tough tank for some combat.
Assault ship if you want to do general combat like Rez sites or Assasinations.
Gunship if you want to do specific combat Combat Zones or really fun Wing fights.

All 3 have merits, and none should be overlooked.

yeah same here. To me the gunship is just such a better pick. But with that being said a large amount of people do love the fas.
