At :25 in this video you can see a running attack animation.

Or a free update that will include a option for blood and gore. (I heard a free update could bypass the age ratings)
But Frontier could make it a dlc which I hope doesn't happen.

I'm pretty sure the only way to add more blood (and thus up the game's rating) is a paid for DLC... A free update would mean anyone could get the gore, making the base game have a higher rating... a paid for DLC would mean the base game could keep a lower rating and the DLC would have its own rating... This is how Creative Assembly go about it with Total War's blood and gore DLC.

Well I am not sure if the age rating could be updated base on a free update after launch that includes Blood and Gore.
I have to research on that.

shall I start the war up again?

the running attack animation is nice. But how long did that struth take to react? Surely that'll have turned at the noise of a huge carnivore running, saw it on it's way and thought "sod this, I'm out"

(before you moan at me, take a breath - wait for release and FK DLC to see what the release animations are like and what if any updates come before speculating that it's all still broken and needs fixing :) )

I hope this is true!!

Does anyone seen an extended gameplay footage of this take-down animation?? (I mean extended backward just to make sure there isn’t any weird freezing moment before the animation initiation)

I do think the fighting animation is much improved and I’m all good with it. I’m just a little upset there isn’t a multiple Dino fighting but that was expected.

In terms of Dino – human interactions, I’m happy to see Dino running over crowd of people! But for the killing animation, it is still buggy to be honest. I can see people freezes (>2s) well before the Dino walk/run in for the animation. This is not a good sign.

Anyways, I really hope the Devs will continue to work on these issues – fix everything they can, try their very best on all interaction animations cause the good news is I’m more than likely to buy this game in any minute! [praise]

Eh I’m not so sure that’s a free roaming type of animation. I can almost guarantee that it was a triggered non dynamic animation and is recycled with every medium-large carnivore (carnivore lines up and locks in place while the prey also locks in place, it begins a determined distance charge and the result is always the same -aka scripted event).

Similar to the goat animation, where is stays in place as the carnivore plays out it’s killing animation; although this time they added a small dash movement towards the end to make the prey actually look like it’s ‘reacting’. But I don’t believe for a second that there wasn’t a pause or ‘locking in’ animation sequence before the animation took place.

I don’t mean to be a negative nancy, but I am quite tired of being indirectly mislead from these gameplay footages - strongly suggesting that the game contains certain features when it actually doesn’t. They’ve done the same thing to support the idea of herding behaviors, sleeping, etc. which ended up being complete letdowns. It’s deceitful editing imo.

I will be extremely excited if carnivores can actually move around freely and attack their prey/human victim while they're attempting to flee instead of locked animation sequences with predetermined outcomes. Although I will keep my expecactions low and expect they are not in the game so I don’t become disappointed again. Animations are vital to a game like this, and if what I believe is true the gameplay will become very stale quickly for me. I hope for good replay ability.

Don’t get me wrong I’m extremely excited for the game, and I can’t wait to play it. I fully trust Frontier to at least attempt to allievate some of the animation/AI problems post launch, but time will tell.
