At first I was like...

So, I'm resurrecting this thread as it appears it was not my fault for shooting an unscanned ship, but merely a figment of gameplay - now this is the third combat-oriented community goal I've had lo leave early because of this feature.

Shooting a wanted NPC, become wanted for assault, watch in amazement as he blows up and now I become wanted for 6 days. This might be a fluke once, but now it's happened to me three separate times during a CG at a HAZ. Buggrit.

Same thing has happened to me more than once. You can raise a ticket with support but I don't think you'll get anywhere. My experience with support is that if it doesn't involve either moving your ship or giving you free credits, there isn't much they'll be able to do for you.

I actually got wanted for 'assault' at the current cg because a ship ran into me when it's shields were down and it took damage. First time that one happened to me I reported it to support and was told that I must have accidentally shot the ship (I didn't). Second time I got a reply and was told it was my own fault for flying above 100m/s in a RES (speeding in a RES  great design). Now when it happens, I just boost away from the ring immediately and hope that my 'victim' doesn't pop before I'm able to jump out and get branded a murderer.
