Atari bankruptcy

A friend of mine got the Atari logo tattooed on his arm a day before they went bust the last time. You should have seen the look on his face, oh how we laughed. Now I get to enjoy that all over again *teehee*. (I got the Elite firebird tattooed at the same time which is guaranteed awesome forever.)

Was there ever an Elite ported to Atari 4800? I remember my father one time brought me home an Atari 4800 which was a complete shocker. I have no idea who roped him into it but he had and still to this day has no idea what that even is. However he gave it to me and it had one game. It had a nice joystick and keypad for the game and everything. I remember jumping around in space but not really knowing how to play it. I'm just wondering if this might have been a version of Elite or if it was some knock off :)

For it's time it sure seemed to have nice graphics. Although I was very young at that time and was clueless about computers and or gaming systems.

im still holding out and waiting for the day that Electronic Arts annouce bankruptcy. after the annoucement of my first born this will be the second best annoucement.

:D That made me laugh. These guys are really hated amongst game consumers it seems.

Give the poor guy a break :)

I don't have any tatt's but if I did I'd rank an Atari one faily highly. My first ever 'computer' ('video computer system' lol) was the wood-grained Atari 2600. Bankrupt or not, I'll never forget the excitement of playing games without having to spend 10p ;)

Still got it. Still plays :)

I remember that... My mate had one which we played on occasionally... Only occasionally for me since I had my beloved BBC Micro with Elite etc.... Still works!
