Attention, Megaship Shoppers!

What made me perk my ears in this case is FD suddenly boosting population and economy without people asking for it. Usually it takes time for them to make a move even when it's a hot issue and people are clamoring for a fix
Fully agree. FDev are putting more energy into ED (and I don't want to derail the thread as to Why that is, as there's other threads speculating as to those factors), it feels like they're making a concerted effort to improve the game to attract more (players and monetisation). I'm sure most of us would agree that it's a positive step. There will always be issues (comms, detail, etc).
I hope that there's a thought out roadmap somewhere on a wall that has some chunky objectives and the stuff we're seeing (Trailblazers currently in live beta, Panther Clipper in the summer, etc) are all part of a strategic plan.
Interesting times!

Unless you have additional information to support these comments, they're just guesses. As another commentor has said, it could be 3 days, 3 months or 3 years...or never.

Separately, what does "started up the blue light" mean for us non-Americans*? Is this similar to "given the green light" (as in, permission has been granted to proceed with a plan)? Genuinely interested.

*I'm presuming you're based around the East Coast US because of the Fahrenheit use and Time Zone comparison (your laptop clock and forum time). Apologies if i've mis-located and/or got the Nationality wrong - i'm hedging the numbers.
Not East Coast. :)

"The Blue Light Special was a sale promotion within the store for a short period within store hours only. It was advertised using a rotating blue light, in the same style a police car used, and was announced over the store public address system with the phrase "attention Kmart shoppers", a phrase which became a pop culture reference.[44] The original concept for the Blue Light Special was a limited-time offer to sell slower-moving merchandise.[45] The sale was first introduced in 1965[46] and was retired in 1991.[47]"

The late, somewhat lamented, K-Mart. And, it's blue light specials. Even non-Americans have heard the phrase.

As for guesses: Just because it's a guess, does not make it a bad bet.

Please don't remove the Trailblazer ships yet. I have a system with 42 construction sites. I have been working steadily to finish it but I still have 20 more sites to finish. I'm sure I'm not alone. Frontier could deploy additional ships to the new areas of colonization if they needed to. Anyone else agree?

The wall is in a pub, and the plan is written on the paper available in the room... :)

Looks like Frontier is more generous than I thought, with regard to the Trailblazer megaships.

Still, I'm using them for one-stop shopping, and for the hard to get refined products, while I still can.

Note: the systems around me have been jam packed with other players, some of whom have limited refining capability.
