August Exodus - A Jaunt to Jaques

Finally made it to Way Point #3...only 20 hours late (I really must find the person who hid all the clocks on my orca!)...

Unfortunately nobody was around for me to meet up with...except the unknown Cmdr who failed to see/heed my hail over text comms.

Still it was a beautiful place:

Hope to catch up with peeps at the next meet up on 22 August

I've left Jaques today for the bubble. The news from Pleiades front are intriguing and I'm afraid all hands in the triggers will be needed. I've left a good contribution to the mining CG and a few days around the nebula... I had forgotten the simple joy of exploration. And a exploration equipped T6 if I need to retreat here.

Ah, and a few tons of Jaques' finest in the cargo hold to celebrate our victory in the days to come!.

Where can I see the progress of the exodus? Or is it over?

Fleet #2 is still ongoing. I'm not sure what you mean by "see the progress". Certainly nobody seems to be posting on this thread (except me ;) ). However individual progress can be seen on EDSM.net under expeditions.

Greetings Commanders, Unfortunately real life has intervened with me and has conspired to prevent me from keeping up with the travel schedule for Convoy 2. I do intend to continue and follow the route to Jaques and hopefully the return route, but I will miss the meet ups at the base camps.
I would like to thank the organisers, the three geniuses, and also my fellow commanders for providing such an enjoyable experience.
Two questions if someone can advise me.
Will the private group remain available after the official convoy finish date for us slower pilots to finish off?
Is it possible to sell exploration data at Jaques Station or do we have to wait until we return to the bubble?

Hi Cmdr.

I too am running behind the main fleet...if you see Cmdr Frawd Digger on your screen send me a friend request and we can meet up.

As for your questions...

If you are in Kamzel, then on Sept 1 you will be transfered to the fleetcomms group. Hopefully the transition will be seemless...

And yes, you can sell data at Jaques

Hello Commanders from D4RKS4V4NT of Convoy #2!!

I have some pictures all the way from a meetup on 19th August at Camp Baatuta (click for higher res) -

We had some fun with the SRVs including ship hopping at dangerous heights above the planet, quite a few exploding SRVs but hopefully the Commanders brought spare ones with them!

o7 - fly dangerous!

Hey everyone,

Are you in Open for the meetups? I didn't sign up for the convoy as i knew I'd be away at the time of initial departure, but after setting off on saturday evening and positively cheesing it yesterday I'm only 300 ly off Vespera Vision and should be able to be there in time for 1900 game time tonight :D

Hey CMDR Frawd Digger. Saw you in your Orca just before doing a recon on Vespera Vision. Sent you a greeting on the comms channel but no reply!:( Hope to see you at launch as you have clearly caught up!

Yeah, sorry Junk Monkey...was hooning around in my SRV and didn't see your message until you had logged out. Apologies.

Cmdr Frawd Digger reporting from Prua Phoe NX-S D4-52.

I made it to Way Point #5 but (barring the fact that I missed Junk Monkey) not a soul was at Camp Vespera...so I hooned around looking for interesting rocks, and found quite a bit of vanadium.

After an hour of waiting around I decided to push on to Way Point #6. Hopefully somebody will be there around 12.30-14.30 GMT/IGT.
