Australian Cretaceous Pack for JWE 2 ?

So here my Candidates for An Australian (Cretaceous) Pack:
1.) Australovenator: It is the most complete predatory dinosaur discovered in Australia and looks just cool. Unlike Raptors it had one very long claw on each forleg.( 6m long/500-1000kg)
2.) Diamantinasaurus: An Australian titanosaurian sauropod of 15m in lengh.
3.) Platypterygius: The Last Ichthyosaur that was alive in the late Cretaceous and with 7m in length still an impressive agile Predator which hunted fisch, see turtles and even birds !
4.) Thapunngaka shawi: Biggest Australian Pterosaur with an wingspan of 7m and a skull of almost 1m in lenght with 40 long teeth.

These "nationalistic" requests for Australian/American/European/whatever packs based on countries and regions are starting to get annoying tbh.
The countries and even continents as we know them today didn't even exist back then. Hence the notion to label dinos "Australian" (or any other "nationality" in this context) is kinda meaningless. Besides most of the requested species are practically just clones or slightly altered versions of dinos that are already in the game

While you are technically right, people like to see "their" dinosaurs and reptiles from their own back gardens. Giving lesser known species from underrepresented areas, I think, is a great way to get more people excited.
There's loads of North American dinosaurs already in the game. And plenty more cool ones that could still be added (like Lambeosaurus for example). But it would be equally interesting or even more so to introduce people to cool dinosaurs from different areas. Be it Australia or another underrepresented country or even continent.

Out of these suggestions I think Australovenator is the best one to add. We don't yet have any megaraptoran in the game. So Australovenator could nicely fill that spot.

Given that we just got an early Cretaceous pack with two species from Australia, I think more species from early Cretaceous Australia are unlikely.

As an Aussie wishing for a couple more Aussie dinosaurs too, I far prefer Era based (like we recently received), dinosaur families or possible biomes packs, over present-day geological locale packs. We were lucky to receive two in the most recent pack of 4, and it's likely this is all they'll give us.

I Live in Europe and Australia is not only an land but the smallest Continent ! And I choose some species because the are very unike like the Australovenator and other like the Platypterygius because its more like a ORCA of the cretaceous unlike our Ichthyosaur which is more comperable to a modern dolphine (piscivore). Platypteryguis could use most of the Animations of the much smaler Ichtyosaurs and some new too. It also wasn´t only found in Australia but all over the World !
Diamatina would also be the first armored titanosauroid ingame , ... Saltasaurus or for the fans of reaaaal big cretaceous sauropods Alamosaurus/Argentinosaurus were other good choices. Yes, the could have many animations of other ingame Sauropods, but they could also look very different.
Thapunngaka shawi could be changed for Hatzegopteryx, but if someone wants to build an hapitat of the cretaceous landscape of what now is Australia it would be cool.

The greater the diversity of species there are, the more enjoyable the game experience. I'm all for as many species from all geographic regions and geological times. Now that we have marine and flying reptiles, there can even be more types of creatures. Certain families of dinosaurs and certain regions are either under represented, or not represented at all. I would like to see more species from Africa, South America, Europe, Australia, Asia, North America, and Antarctica. From the seven continents I would say North America is the most represented. Australia and Antarctica the least. Africa and South America, somewhere in the middle, about the same, and I believe that future DLC could get some more species from those regions. The more species in the game, the more enjoyable the game will be.

I think a 'Cretaceous Australia'-would be a bit too specific. I'm all for time- and area-based packs, but not in combination.

And, to go off the discussion above, I'd genuinely prefer having more animals from countries that aren't represented yet. This also gives a bit more reason to get obscure species in, something I always like to see too.

I get both sides' views of the debate in this thread. However, I think it is important to acknowledge that there are not many marine reptiles and Pterosaurs to begin with, which no dinosaurs that could glide over short distances like Microraptor, Archaeopteryx, or Sinornithosaurus are available currently in the game. I'm hoping down the line they will add more marine reptiles like Platypterygius and Pliosaurus funkei, or as it is more commonly known as Predator X, Stratesaurus taylori, Maresaurus coccai, bobosaurus forojuliensis, and Gallardosaurus iturraldei. For Pterosaurs, I am hoping developers will add Anurognathus ammoni, Jeholopterus ninchengensis, Vesperopterylus lamadongensis, Pterodactylus crassirostris, Thapunngaka shawi, and Hatzegopteryx thambema into the game. I noticed that besides the Spinosaurids, there are not any dinosaurs in the game that eat fish, which is why I am hoping the developers will change that by adding Halszkaraptor escuilliei and Eustreptospondylus into the game. It would be nice if the developers would also add Heterodontosaurus tucki, Caenagnathus collinsi, Incisivosaurus gauthieri, and Oviraptor, which are all omnivores.
My point is, while I don't completely agree that we need an Australian dinosaur bundle, I do think more species need to be added into the game, especially for marine reptiles, pterosaurs, and dinosaurs that can glide for short distances, and by adding more it may in the process include a wider variety of locations. So I'm hoping both sides can at least agree that we need more species in the game.

I´ve to say, i would like to see Australovenator simlpl because It is the most complete predatory dinosaur discovered in Australia and looks just cool. Unlike Raptors it had one very long claw on each forleg and would be the first ( and still only ) Magaraptora ingame !
As one of the bigger Ichthyosaurs i would love to have Platypterygius in our Lagoons. But despite it was the Last Ichthyosaur species known to be alive in the late Cretaceous and with 7m in length still an impressive agile Predator which hunted fisch, see turtles and even birds , propably i would now prefer to get the 10-12m long Temnodontosaurs from the Early Jurassic because it was the apex Predator of its time in the Oceans and would be Big enough to get an unike Feeding Animation for the sharkfeeder, just like Kronosaurs.

@Dinotracker I like both species you suggested. What do you think about adding Umoonasaurus demoscyllus into the game? Its plesiosaur that had crests that were thought to be used similar for communication purposes, just like Parasaurolophus.

Umoonasaurus demoscyllus

I think it´s an very interessting and very smal Plesiosaur (only 2,5m in lenght) , so Umoonasaurus demoscyllus would be nice like Trinacromerum or Dolichorhynchops to have an smal Plesiosaurs of the Cretaceous, but we neeeeeeed placeable waterplants / rocks and different brushes for rocky/sandy or muddy ground and shores for our lagoons !

I'm thinking it unlikely we'll see an Australian pack of any kind, Kronosaurus and Minmi would've been significant selling points for such a thing.

There's still some potential for Australian species in general. They have indeed watched Walking with Dinosaurs, so I wouldn't put them past a Leaellynasaura at some point.

I've mentioned before that the named Australian pterosaurs are all quite similar in size and form to the existing Romualdo Anhanguerians, the one with most potential is probably Aussiedraco, being a bit smaller than the existing and lacking the keel on the underside of the jaw.

From the scientiffic piont of view and for more variety of extraordenary species I still would like to have the following 2 Species ingame in the Future.

1.) Australovenator: Simply becaus it is the most complete predatory dinosaur discovered in Australia and one of the best known Megaraptora ( A Carnivores Dinosaurs familiy which have one very long and strong claw on each hand of the strong forlegs ( unlike Raptors, which have their mightiest claws on their Feet) . With a length of 6m and a wight of 500 - 1000kg it would be an Carnivore with an other bodyplan than the most others.

2.) Platypterygius: This Last Ichthyosaur Species that was still alive in the late Cretaceous while allmost al other Ichttyosaurs species where gone extinct lived not only in Seas where today is Australia but allmost in oceans all over the World! It was the last and most successfull Ichthyosaurs species that could compete with Plesiosaurs and Pliosaurs and early Mosasaurs . This Marine Reptile was with 7m in length still an impressive agile Predator allmost of the size of an white shark or small orca which hunted fish, see turtles and even birds !

Let me know what you think about those two species to be part of an Future DLC !?

Honestly instead of picking one country for a sole pack, maybe make an "Obscure Spotlight" pack, pick one species from one country or region that doesn't get much attention. Most of the Asian sites are in China/Mongolia, maybe add a Japanese dinosaur like uivenator.

Or an Indian one like Isisaurus.

Virtually all of the American species are from the West or Midwest, maybe have an East Coast dinosaur like Appalachiosaurus or Dryptosaurus.

I guess I'm just saying a one continent, one era-themed pack is just too narrow, especially when there are already three Australian species already in game. Although I would love to see Leaellynasaura added tbh.
