auto firing turrets???

I seem to remember, or think I do, reading about auto firing turrets. any9one know if this is correct? and if it is, where can I find them or what are they called? I don't find them in the station outfitting area. thanks in advance.

There are turreted versions of some of the weapons. The station you are in probably just doesn't carry any, try another one.

So you mean setting turrets to fire at will? If so you set that in the right UI panel under "functions"?

ok I apparently bought the wrong t hings as they do not show up in functions as setable. can you tell me t he name of the correct beam/cannons to buy? Sry to be suck a dufus but...

edit: um maybe these are only in beta?? I do not remember where I read it here or beta?

they are still called beam laser/cannon etc. except they have a little turret icon next to the name. The fixed versions show a crosshair, the gimbals show their own hard to describe icon, and the turrets have an icon that looks like a little turret.

Do the weapons have a T for turret? Like this:
2E/T
The symbol would look like a turret pointing to the right.
Look at the fragment cannon.

ok I have the right ones then. both have TURRET SYMBOL. WHEN I GO TO RIGHT PANNE
L UNDER FUNCTIONS I DO NOT SEE HOW TO SET T HEM TO FIRE AT WILL. dang it sorry for the caps. fingers act on their own sometimes

DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! found it thx for help guys so with these set to fire at will do I only need to point ship in right direction or what? and if so do t hey fire before I scan for wanted??

If you set to fire at will, every ship you target it will fire on, so its not great if the cops are around, or unwanted ships. I prefer target only. I only set to fire at will, if I am in my Anaconda and am surrounded by enemies only.

yikes!! ok that does not sound good for me. I should have known that I think. anyway thank you for the info and your caps are prettier than mine this is probably why I don/t do combat as normal rule.too. :)
