Auto-retracting weapons when hit supercruise/Hyperjump button

It would be nice when the weapons would automatically retracting when I want to jump in supercruise or Hyperjump.
Maybe as an optional thing, like the weapons deploying when trigger the fire-button.

Sure, but I like to have it deploy your hardpoints when you get back into real space.

It would need to be optional, it would be extremely annoying if it were to do that all the time, I only want hardpoints deployed when I need to use them.

You can also look into Basic Macro programs that could do this already. If I wanted to I could use my Logitech G13 which has a Macro program. I could set a key that would Auto-retracting weapons and wait for a second and click supercruise/Hyperjump button.

So this features it really not needed.

I'd be happy for this (optional) automatic retracting to work for the cargo scoop & landing gear too. If it were not optional I think it would still work because if I accidentally start to charge my FSD I can always quickly cancel by pressing the same button again. I'd then have to deploy whatever again, which would be part of the learning process and rather more intuitive than the current 'hardpoints/scoop/landing gear deployed' message.

Why do you guys struggle about things that don't hurt you?
Why you want use 3rd party software for such "simple" things?

I don't have drivers running for my keyboard, HOTAS, and what else only for my mouse, because
1. It would be a mess, all this different drivers for input devices
2. Performance
3. Thurstmaster HOTAS driver would bundle Stick and Throttle to one device and would limit so the button that I can use

Sorry, what?
You have to retract your hardpoints before you go into supercruise or jump into another system.
I'm not saying it should deploy weapons again when getting into normal space.

Okay, yes, you're right. All devices should retract that prevent a jump.

No thanks. They last thing I need is to keep retracting my weapons during combat if I accidentally hit the hyperjump button when dropping a heatsink or Chaff.

What you describe is probably the reason why it is the way it is in-game. And why the OP suggests that it be optional. I try to engage the FSD & see the warning far more times than I accidentally try to engage it.
