AX Zone Flak/Flechette frag and "friendly kire" leniency

This happened to me once out of tens and tens of AX zone experiences but -- it feels a bit of a downer if you get pinned for "murdering" an AX ship that apparently has a near zero hull percentage which is ONLY not exploding due to the duct tape that's used to hold it's loose wires to a cockpit canopy strut.
I can understand if you drill a ship down from 5% to zero with direct fire weaponry (not sure if you can deal that much damage with full flak/flechette ammo spent, but that too) -- but a lovetap from such an AOE weapon that's actively taking out a massive thargon swarm that's about to rip the target to shreds anyway? Really?

Prior to this I had a similar experience to this outside of getting a murder rep - the faction that fields the AX ships get hostile to you and it requires a bit of red tape - still feels annoying but can be handled.
But a murder strike and notoriety to burn off basically kills your game session.

A bit of leniency would be nice -- instead of knocking a player out of gameplay for two hours until the reputation wears off idling in a station.
This can be enough to ruin someone's free time that they'd like to spend in the game.

We're all trying to stop the Xeno horde here...

As an aside, to the FD team responsible for the following: the Thargon swarm mechanics and movements are lovely. Flinching on expecting a flak detonation, the different swarm configurations they swap too. Beautiful. Love it.
