That's the Cobra MkIV spirit

Back in late 2015 every single player ship you came across was painted black, it actually raised concerns over balance because black was harder to see. Almost everyone you met also had Cobra MkIV access too and it was near-universally panned as a rubbish ship (like the Asp Scout still is). Then we got engineers in the next update of course, and now we have night vision to turn even the prettiest paint job blocky green.

One day people will covet this paint scheme too, once it is a rare enough sight to be special
