Aw look, I found my first fumarole
It's amazing what you run into when you're just flyin' around and killin'.

Unfortunately this is on a planet that has one mountain that has learned to duplicate itself over and over again. Which is kind of disappointing.
I think you need to give planet tech another pass, FD.

Now I am going to have to kill this poor NPC to vent my displeasure.

If they were all facing the same way, and came in a variety of nested scales, they'd look a bit like sand dune patterns in deserts, which would raise interesting questions about the planet's prehistory. All going in different directions is less interesting...
