I agree, just saying not sure if it would be feasible to implement a split of that data. If it helps at all, I have seen a few XB1 players on the bounty boards whilst playing on the PC

And yet PC players cannot interact with Xbox player thus have no ability to hunt said bounty down, maybe instead of splitting the data it'd be easier to put an icon or tag indicating the platform a bounty is from? --Momentai :3

Ok so with the BSG everyone says that ncp's don't effect it, but what about civil wars in the backend of no where where no CMDR's have been in months how does the serves decide the outcome? Surely the npc must have some kind of minor input?

Conflict zones are basicly just random events, and only players are able to effect the outcome.

If there are no players involved at all, the Conflict zone will eventually fall in a cease fire.

We're not equal, we're the new Xbox elite master race! All PC players shall bow before our glory!!!

I do agree with a few of your ideas though, you know how Xbox players can see the bounties of PC players in a system? That's the stupidest thing I've seen in a game, unless the're only there as some sorta leaderboard or something. --Momentai :3

There is 1 easy fix for everything. Implement COMPLETE cross platform. I really don't care to hear computers and xbox's can't talk to each other. Shadowrun...... Ok that argument is done. Mac & PC players can interact. Xbox is the only one left out in the dark. Give us Private Groups and institute complete cross platform play. That is the easieat solution to so many problems!

Are you sure that wouldn't create more problems? How much experience do you have with networking, software design, and coding on the scale that is required to create an online game?

I have been reading through some threads debating the SOLO effect on the BGS
So here is the question...
Surely by far the biggest effect on the BGS is by the NPC?
After all they go about their business 24/7 and there are far more of them than any other group.
So why the big hate on solo players effecting the BGS?
Oh and I play in open not solo.
Just looking for some informed answers if anyone can help.

I agree with the notion that NPCs do not effect the BGS. They are there for our benefit only. When we quit the game, they all vanish. Think of them as a movie set town. When the cameras stop, one look on the other side of those buildings reveal nothing but that forward facing facade.

As for the hate towards SOLO and solo players... The argument that solo players screw up the BGS is nothing but a Red Herring. They use that silly claim to disguise the true motivation behind these people's gripe. Some people just can't stand the thought of anyone not sharing their own notions of what this game is, and how it should be played. These are often the same folks that have issues with those who don't want to play PvP and prefer PvE only.

Ever heard the term "My Way or the Highway" ? Well... That is who you are dealing with, so good luck with that! ;)

I find it very telling that you never see solo and PvE players making these kinds of comments towards PvP players and demanding that OPEN play be closed down. Perhaps we are content and confident in our choices, while they worry that their supply of human cannon fodder might eventually run dry. This line of thinking also leads to intolerance towards any other viewpoint, and they need everyone to agree with them and their choices regardless. Do you see any similarities between the "Kill Solo" crowd and religious zealots? I do. ;)

Personally, I just ignore the noise from this group these days. I will play this game the way I like to play it, and I could care less if anyone else has a problem with that. I play 100% in SOLO and what I do has no real impact on anyone else in the game. I also could care less how anyone else plays the game as long as that play does not negatively impact others without those other player's consent.

Not true, but from a power play side in my experience. I once spent 3 hours harassing enemy CMDR's trying to work in an expansion system. I kept them out of it for the most part, and kept them from acquiring merits to advance their pledged powers expansion. No rebuys were made (I just couldn't catch them in that tubbly Python)... So in this case PvP did affect the BGS, be it the PP side, but still an effect.

How'd you stop the players that weren't instanced with you or in other modes?

I am not saying it wouldn't take work. It would be the simplest of long term solutions. It would help end the ghost galaxy xb1 faces. The ONLY way i see to save this game on xb1 is to create cross platform play. It can be done. It was done with 360 & PCs. The 360 was further from being a PC than either the original xbox or xb1. If it can be accomplished once, it can be done again. Since Microsoft is the one who finished out the Shadowrun project, they would be the first place to start looking. I am just pointing out it IS doable. Frontier just needs to realize it will come down to that or slowly lose an entire player base.

As Elite becomes more vacant, more people will leave. It is a escalating effect. Once Horizons release there will be a small increase in player base for a short term. But, even then it will grant only a few short months reprieve from the eventual exodus. I love this game, but i know i won't be the last xb1 player logging on by himself. When the day comes and I log on and do not have a single player in my friends list playing anymore. That is the day i will hit the delete button.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that the next time you buy/sell something and change the stock of a stations goods or maybe you decide to fight for a PP faction, or even help any other factions in the game. Solo does effect open, that said I don't really care myself as PP is a bother, and I'm to much of a coward to fight in PvP.

I wounldn't mind a online PvE only mode myself as it's the only reason I was able to cope with GTA for the short time I did, but as I said it dosen't matter to me as I'll just run away if attacked by players. --Momentai :3
