Background Simulation (BGS) Sub Forum Needed

I propose a new sub-forum for those interested in the background simulation (BGS). Currently the best (primary? only?) forum source for BGS is a thread now running to over 500 pages. At this size it's impossible to do a full read and therefore the same questions keep coming up.

By creating a BGS sub-forum it will allow individual threads to be formed around different elements, e.g. threads per State (War, Civil War, Expansion, Retreat) as well as more general threads on broader topics. It would allow easier access for new CMDRs into the wonderful gameplay to be found with the BGS.

The original post was initially updated, but has not been changed for over six months and is at risk of becoming stale. That thread could be moved into a new sub-forum so its content is not overlooked.

The sub-forum should ideally be under Dangerous Discussions (alongside Engineers, PP and CG boards) or at a pinch could be under Exploration, Guides, Suggestions & Player Tools (alongside Ships and Exploration).

BGS is such a key element of the game, around since launch, and should have the same standing on the forum as discussions for explorers, PP'ers or CG'ers.

Many thanks

I support this too. +1

I've tried reading the mega thread, but quickly got overwhelmed due to too much information at once.

While we're on the subject of the forum, could I suggest a PvP sub forum?

Almost any mention of PvP in the DDF is met with hostility because some people don't like it.
If it had its own section, CMDRs could discuss PvP loadouts and share their experiences with other, etc, without disrupting the peace over in the DDF.

Yes please. The BGS is a fundamental part of the game's mechanics, is complex, and easily creates in depth discussions. The main thread is extremely long and this can lead to duplication and repetition of already answered questions. A more organised approach would be welcome.
