I got to where the neutron stars get really common tonight and my 1000 LY route ended on my second neutron star. I picked another non-sequence object very nearby and it was my first black hole!
I then did 10 neutron stars in a row before stopping for fuel - I only needed a tenth of a tank but it's bed time and I'd rather park near a friendly K class start than a scare neutron star!
Is the general tactic simply arrive, honk, target and scan the neutron star, galaxy map to pick the next one, jump and repeat 50 times until you need to refuel? It just seems like a lot of effort after simply following the planned route for almost 19,000 LY!
I guess ELITE would need something like 4000 neutron starts so I'm aiming for at least ranger and hopefully Pioneer after about 1000. I'm going to wander corewards so I should be almost at Sag A by then.
