Saying that the board refreshes every ten minutes is a poor excuse for the bait and switch tendencies of the mission board. I was in my passenger asp explorer when I saw a rank up mission for the Feds to carry some cargo. I immediately switched ships to my Anaconda and found that the mission was gone. Then I switched back to my asp only to see that same mission again. Once again I switched to the Anaconda and it wasn’t there. It has nothing to do with the board refreshing. It has everything to do with wasting our time.
Maybe they could bring back that option to "please hold on while I make room" that was in FE2 so the mission stays a little longer after you've swapped in the passenger cabins.
If I had to guess it is because the server has to 'recalculate' what your ship is eligible to accept and in so doing it just generates a whole new set of missions rather than simply flipping the eligibility switch on the current batch of missions.
No; because you can swap back and the originals appear.
How about a pop up that says
"YOUR CURRENT SHIP IS NOT OUTFITTED FOR THIS MISSION, ACCEPT ANYWAY AND OPEN OUTFITTING"
"YES" "NO"
So, I'm in my combat ship at a station scoping out the missions (I scroll through all of them) and there are the usual choices and the pay is really not great. So I take a look at the passenger missions and I see all these decent payouts for short missions.
I'll either go and get my passenger ship or re-configure my current ship in cabins. I come back ready and able.
Check out the passenger missions and the the good ones are GONE.
Not the first time this has happened, you have the wrong ship for the mission, change gear, missions disappear.
This has happened quite often, results? Spending time with little to show for you effort.
BTW, this happens in systems where I'm usually allied with multiple factions.
Has this been your experience as well? Just curious to see if I'm not alone.
