someone of FDevs must ask himself:
how many mission and time the player must be done for A grade a big ship? (use this example )
this.
hypothesize:
payout 300k 500k 700k per mission... take a middle range= 500k per mission.
A grade conda, without guns and utilities... for example, is about 500 ml
https://coriolis.edcd.io/outfit/ana...A=.Aw18ZVA=..EweloBhBmUEY4BYQFMCGBzANikI4SFA=
/ 500 k (mission payouts) = 1 ml ... missions. = so the player must done 1 million mission =that are 42 days actual
distribute this 42 days to year , and to hours that you must play
so not jugde if someone use exploit for grind. and don't nerf this exploits.
because if the user must spend 1 year to an A grade conda, he'll leave the game.
and user use the exploits because the mission system and payouts it's totally wrong.
the game changes in the meantime he's reaching his objective... and maybe with nerf or other fix his try can be more difficult... or long.
don't speak also about reputation, that with missions number it's more tha 1 ml...
and after this.. engeneer!
if the FD choice is to keep the user in game more time as they can... it's the right choice...
if the FD want that the player want to stay in game because it's fun. this gameplay it's the wrong choice
Interesting perspective....but also very inaccurate.
I've said this so many times in these forums....there are numerous ways to make money..the bubble is very very large and if you want to get rich and get the ships you want, you need to explore the various systems, try a bit of everything, make allies...participate in various systems goings on...eventually you will get everything..but its not about getting everything right away.
You don't need an A rated conda, a simple conda worth under 200mil is quite effective for any purpose other than pvp combat...and even then, that really depends on the skills of the pilot.
The ship you need really depends on what you are going to do, going for the conda, cutter, vette..just because they are the 'Top 3' is a fools errand, no different than having to have a rolls or lamborgini because someone says they are the best....
.
Stacking missions via mode switching still works, or rather mode switching to see different missions is still a thing. If you don't like it don't use it.

As for the reason I said in the beginning about being wrong...there are still numerous very high paying missions everywhere..you just need to explore and learn what to look for ...how to find them.
Making 100+mil an hour is not a necessity but it is still easily done..
Even as a new player..mining, trade, killing, the more common jobs..can pay millions per job in the right places.
Other jobs like exploring, transporting, smuggling, piracy..all pay quite well also. If none of these suit someone in order to get ahead, then you need to re-assess why you are playing this game.
The object here is playing the game because you enjoy it, if you are soley intent on becoming a multi-billionaire overnight, you should probably go back to pong...or whatever gave instant gratification.
This is a space simulation in a galaxy in conflict. You can do any of the jobs here in almost any ship, some ships just do certain jobs better than others.
I have helped numerous people in this game become rich and most of them have not been able to keep the money or the ships they have earned simply because they did not take the time to learn all the basics in the smaller ships and hone those skills.
By the time you have actually earned a conda you will hopefully also the realize that it isn't a requirement that it be all A-Rated or must be a ramming machine..etc..We build them according to what we need it to do. Learn the differences between the A to D classes.. An A rated combat conda vs a A through D rated conda cannot win at anything it tries to do..the person that used his head and utilized A through D modules correctly will do far better at any given task.
The point there is why are you even asking or hoping for things that you don't understand fully yet?
A Viper, courier, cobra..can all be far more useful in the right hands than a conda in the unexperienced hands..so learn from the bottom up before you cry unfair about the cost you are referring to. If someone gave you a loaded conda right away, you wouldn't know how to keep it.

enuff...
