Barnard's Loop

I'm heading out to Barnard's Loop right now, but I want to know if anyone else has been out there before.

Yes I was there 2 weeks ago. There are other interesting nebulae and clusters enroute and nearby the Loop (Pleiades, Horse Head, Witch Head, Orion). I spent a week there (now back in the inhabited bubble).

Im out there right now.
There is indeed much to see on the way, I highly recommend the pleiades, set your target for atlas.

There are a few planetary nebulae on route to witch head from there.

And Orion.. cant say enough. Its full of stars...
I love it out here and there's a good amount of O class and other goodies near by.

Hit me up ill be out here for a good while.

That sounds SO COOL! I plan to do a deep space jaunt myself in the not too distant future. What are you using for hardware out there? What ship I mean?

The binary im in is 250,000ls wide so ive got a few min to type, crossing my fingers on a water world, it sounds right.

Im running an Asp
D class, sheilds, PD, life support ect..
Fsd A class just got it after my last data dump!
64 fuel tank
B5 scoop I think, it may be C class
C3 repair pods x2
x2 heat sinks
DSS and ADS

I feel as safe as can be in it, and the extra fuel is very nice to have.

No dice here, PARENAGO 1474 B 1 = Hmc planet
Ive got to listen to the sounds agan guess I cant tell them apart

Heya quick question
Found a great sight yesterday night
Its a waterworld, but there were two tiny islands down there
I checked the rest of the dayside and they were the only landmass. Truly beautiful, a Hawaiian Plant.

My question is how do I post a screenshot off of android?
I took a picture with my phone, still dont think the xbox dvr works with elite

You can still take screenshots and videos. Uploading is the issue. For videos i know of 2 workarounds. 1 of those may work for screenshots.

You'll have to stream to a Windows 10 PC or laptop and screenshot that, or take a still from the video. Screenshots can't be shared :(

i went to the california nebula first, and i'm headed over to barnard's loop and then back to populated space in one big ring, so i'll be at it for a while

Thanks for the info cmdr's, seems it may be a few before I can share my finds.

Im currently working through the star nursery in the Orion complex. Ill be around for at least a week.
Thers much to take in here, itll be nice to have company. Add me if you like we can meet up, post here I guess? To coordinate

My plan was to go as far as the jellyfish and then see how my integrity is holding up, may push on to the monkey head

Ok im not sure if you can enlarge this image to original size, but in it there is a pinkish blob with concentric pink circles around it. just wondering what this is. a distant galaxy? a star that went supernova? a blackhole swallowing gas? I have no idea. I see it a lot in the distance and its got my curiosity going. If you cant select the image for resize. Then I may stick it up on flickr and give a link, and do it that way. Any one know what this is?

Not too sure about that. Andromeda is a spiral galaxy and there is a spiral galaxy above and to the left. In this image its a smaller pink blob, but in game it is quite clearly spiral galaxy face on. I believe that to be Andromeda, but I could be wrong of course.

Edit Actually I think you might be right this pic looks similar if you coloured it pink.andromeda.jpg Now I know how all those Astronomers felt when they got those first images back from Hubble before the fix lol.

Update BLAZIN TACO:
Galactic Mapping Project records do not show an entry for the Jellyfish nebula. I doubt that no one has been there but it really got me itching to be there.

Found plenty of Firsts, even in the main cluster of Orion. Seems that all of the filtered stars have been scanned at least once in the nebula itself. Go for the larger M class in the main bar and youll be surprised. I found meby eight gas giants with life.

So just to report: moving towards Barnards Loop from Orion; Intend to continue directly towards Jellyfish
Happy hunting

Found a cluster of mostly M class stars, its near Orion. It seems very similar to the cluster there. Im thinking it may be a previous cluster from that nebula. Its really got me peaked.

I tried googling it but didnt find anything, searching for anything orion is too general.

Ive notice one other commander has past through the area but not shure how well its been explored yet.

If I can get on tonight ill write down some coord's

Any good finds lately on your exp?

HR 2222 two B class one A class and two neutrons! First discovery baby! Bout.. er soiled..myself when I saw they were un-discovered.

Im shure that they've been found before, but it feels good. Now ive got to find a Black Hole to put my name on for a.few weeks
