Base attack - I lost my iCutter shields instantly?

I have attempted less than a handful of skimmer missions due to all of the above and maybe attempted one in the last year.

They are the complete opposite of fun to me. If they made them less contrived, I would give them another chance.

Same here. I for one, do not like missions that earn me bounties, just me. yes you can find wanted skimmers in the POIs around the target base but finding them is so tedious and time consuming to do from your ship it is not worth the $$ given for the missions. (yes, I could use my SRV to find them easier but killing them with dumb fires from my ship is just more efficient)

If you're in a Cutter, just put a 4-something beamlaser on the huge mount. Fire only your main gun aslong as needed until you hit that st***d skimmer. They fall like flies, less than a second and you do not waste ammunition. It's even easier than ramming a skimmer.... ramming them would be much more fun though. They really should remove that annoying emp effect, its not authentic.... or at least remove the heavy damage it does to your ship. Fully armored 4k hitpoint cutter down to 50% by ramming one of them? Come on.... it's more a gamebreaker than any mechanic to prevent exploiting. (using the beamlaser or dumbfire rockets nullifies this wanna-be-exploit-prevention anyways...)
