base data scans no longer give 3x drop?

It might be related to the new Guardian structures - the "data sphere" or whatever at the end of the activation sequence also only gives 1x of the blueprint data - this might have been intentional, but changed the behaviour for all other data points as well. This is particularly devastating as now you cannot get the Guardian blueprints anymore from the obelisks - I thought they would maybe fix both in the same patch at least.

As is, you have to do the same activation sequence in the Guardian structures probably dozens of times to get the required blueprints for the unlocks, since more Guardian tech has already been announced. Not really a fan of this ...

Someone on the Steam forums brought up the other day they were only getting a single mat per drop at Davs Hope and I thought "meh.... I guess I can understand that".

Last night I went out to do a round of base scans for data mats and noticed the same thing EVERYWHERE. Is this intentional???

Far as Im aware, they were giving me the three data scans as normal right up until about 3 this morning when I did my last one...I had about 7 of them stacked at the start of the night and they all paid out what they normally paid out.

Thats not to say I dont think they bugged...I had one fer 2m which was guarded by turrets, 4 skimmers and a navy fighter circling constantly overhead. The next one fer 3m had no turrets, zero skimmers and no navy or peelers to be seen. No def at all just drive in, scan and recall ship onto the next hidden base...feels totally out of whack but as fer your specific issue3? No, Im not having the same experience, they still pay out fine fer me...that at least is still working as intended.

the data sphere gives 1x data, however the obelisks still give you 3x.

Probably they want to limit guardian data from the orb to 1 each time and limited all the SRV data instead. (My bet).

But if it is the case, why don't fix it quickly?

Just imagine doing a base run to get 1 MEF XD!

Don't worry op.
I'm sure the developers will be over this like a rash really soon. See how quick they fixed the skimmer and mining missions along with obelisks giving us too many goodies.

No. You won't have to wait until a major point patch. No way. ;-)

Spent some time at Dav's Hope last night.
Data link gives 1-2 data items per scan.
Manufactured Materials lying around the base seem the same or maybe a bit more than pre-3.0.
I didn't really count the materials before but roughly there's about 8 items to scoop up.
I really hoped for more than 1-2 data per scan though.

some new materials WERE added for 3.0 to Dav's. however, the drop rate was adjusted to favor midgrade mats. It's still a good place for midgrade stuff, but for the high grade stuff, I think the drop rate in HGE's is actually better now.

Did a little more at Davs hope during lunch. 2-3 data items per data scan and 10 mid-grade manufactured items per round today.
Did get some Specialized Legacy Firmware and Cracked Industrial Firmware which I need directly along with some future needs and some for trade of course.
Heat Conduction Wiring, Conductive Components, Heat Dispersion Plates, Chemical Manipulators, High Density Composites, Heat Vanes and various kinds of focus crystals.
