Per Inara data: CG now reached 18k cmdrs :) and we are at 55% from 5th Heart. o7

And it's probably the most complex to take part in, just working out how to take part is a challenge.
Yes - though on the other hand it (finally!) has auto-sign-up when you do the right thing, and also is I think the first CG possible to contribute to from Multi-Crew because it doesn't rely on handing in vouchers/cargo/etc either.

On balance that still probably reduces rather than increases numbers, certainly.

If I just sit there by an asteroid with 17% heat... at what range will a Thargoid (a few ones guarding Cocijo) see me? Is this random or fixed distance?

Almost learned the hardest way that my <20% does not mean invisible. It just showered me from 100% hull to 60% in a few secs.

Below 2 km you may be in troubles no matter what your ship's heat is. However their aim precision will be poor if ship heat stay below 20%.

Oh well, given up:(

It seems my skill levels are only good enough for potting the occasional scout or two.

Made multiple attempts and only managed to see the Titan once, got blown up before I could work out where to fire at it, had a lot of fun blowing up scouts and improved my escape and evasion tactics with the Interceptors, managed to max out 4 types of thargoid mats from bits of scouts and visited the rebuy screen more times than I would like to mention here:)

Don't give up, this is hard stuff, many of us have been practicing this for months, if not years.

Yeah, don't give up yet. The key is to not aggro anything but the Titan when you start hitting vents, and stay invisible as much as possible. If you see anything else, sneak away and hide in the asteroids until you're in position. Bombing is about sneaky stealth mainly.

What are you flying?

As an aside, this is what I'm using.

Gets me in, does multiple runs and back out again.

Its not only practice but dexterity problems due to an old injury to hand and wrist.

Krait II, have been varying build dependent on intended target but main problem with titan has been trying to get to it, not being able to coordinate thargoid pulse neutraliser properly and getting knocked back too often.

For the pulse, make sure you stick all your pips into system when the cloud starts to turn blue. Then, wait until you actually see the pulse wave approaching out of the cloud (not before), and then hold your hotkey down until it passes by. System pips are important since the neutraliser drains system power, so you want to provide it with as much as possible to extend its lifespan.

I use the sound method, first you hear a charging sound then it 'pings', i press and hold my pulse key just as it pings.
Done every Titan so far many times so i have lots of experience but it still gets me sometimes.
Its all about timing.

It’s my first Titan - and wow, this is intense!

Did some 28k contributions in three runs: 1st destroyed in front of the Titan, no contributions, 2nd 4K contributions but destroyed, 3rd 24k contributions, depleted all missiles and escaped with 34% hull 💪🏼

Ship is Standard Krait2 Titan-Bomber with Sirius Missile Racks and it works great.

Loved your success by perseverance story. Kudos, CMDR! o7

Heart 5 gone, and with it tier 5 is reached.

Just so you all know, the increase in money rewards per rank has been boosted at tier 5. It was a steady linear increase at all levels up till tier 4 (eg 25 million per tier for the top 25%), but things have jumped massively. Top 25% has doubled from 100M to 200M.

I wonder how this will progress come tier 8. A new linear gradient, or perhaps exponential reward?

Well, it now seems that my instance is broken. I'm getting the bonds reward notification, but the bonds are not adding up to my balance.
If you are checking the left hand CG transactions tab, it is VERY SLOW to update.

The artificial contribution spike at the same time as the target increase made it hard to see, but capping the Y-axis shows that yes, there was a weekend bump. I'm just not sure how it compared to Thursday. And the bump seems low?

No, I mean the combat bonds, not the CG damage tracker.

What I noticed is that if the bonds reward notification didn't came up right before the blue donut, the bonds were not added to the balance. This happened twice when the notification lagged a bit and came up after the bubble had totally dissipated.

Sometimes I only get the bonds after the blue donut is over. I keep a spreadsheet of bonds gained per run and it's been consistent so far.

Given how much they pumped up the health of the titan, is there a danger that the CG will actually not finish by the deadline?
