Trailers eh. Who ever bought anything on the basis of a trailer?
I'll just leave this here...
Looks a bit boring.
The reveal trailer was much more about generating interest than revealing the game itself- it took FackFrags and other EA/DICE-promoting YouTubers to explain exactly what we were seeing. I think basically it was about triggering half the internet to get people talking about the game. It certainly worked.I just watched the trailer.
I still don't know what it's about.
I play Battlefield because it's a fast-paced casual shooter, not because it's hardcore/milsim-lite. Battlefield has always been an arcade shooter. If I'm going to play a game for extended periods, I'll play Elite. It's certainly not battlefield or COD...if you prefer that type of shooter. It's like ARMA mixed with Squad. 50 player servers and no AI except the planes
Not sure about this tactical "back to the roots" WW2 EA, it looks more like Mad Max/steampunk/captain america... whatever. Frostbite and what DICE is able to create with it is amazing visually but personally I will stick to modded Arma 2/3 for my WW2 fix tho.
For those more interested some info:

Maybe I should rephrase.
I know it's about WWII, or an alternate timeline or something.
But the trailer was so chaotic, I literally have no idea what was happening. I didn't even have time to tell who was who. Lol
I've always preferred the modern versions of battlefield anyway. Battlefield 2 was brilliant. And Bad Company 2. And 3&4.
Not played any since.
Never liked CoD.
I prefer co-op Arma 3 these days.
There is multiple perspective changes and it isn't really clear when it happens or why. Apart from that I have the impression some agenda driven internet rage is currently thundering over it?
Right...another batch of DLC's and a subpar experience.
I want a remake of BF2142 damnit.
I just want another Battlefield Bad Company game.
BFBC2 and BF2 have special places in my heart.
Origin access have given me the Ultimate version (season pass/all DLC) of BF-V for free...along with FIFA 19 ultimate too. Which is pretty good as I wouldn't have bought BF-V in the first place judging by the trailer.
Not sure how their numbers are doing. I just received a thrid email from EA "reminding me that the open beta is indeed here and it's indeed open"
One more and I'm putting EA newsletter on a spam filter.
Loved that beta gameplay vid you posted...coffee out of the nose stuff some of it [haha]
To be honest, I kinda got bored with Battlefield after the interim release of BF1943...which came just before BF3 and was a small 3 map battle royale thing set in the pacific islands...still the best BF game ever...apart from bad company 2 Vietnam [yesnod]
The last time I seriously got into the Battlefield series was BF4 on the Xbox...I was part of a clan thing then, old farts like me in the main. I did try and get into BF one on the PC but got put off by the 12 year old squeakers using aimbots or game trainers.
