Beagle point route across abyss

As some of you may have read I am out in the black, I am currently coming along the scutum Centaurus arm and looking for a place to cross the abyss

at what co-ordinates can I confortably cross I have 49ly route plotting range 52.73 total but I don't want to manually plot across it if I can help it

i was thinking at about -4000 or should I go further along the arm to say -2000 or even zero? I've crossed before but this was in the days of non engineers and pre jumponium and so much has changed the information I remember is pointless

Thoughts on a postcard please ;)

Thoughts? Ok.

After reading the above responses, I had a look at EDSM. There are two possible routes shown: The Rock Rat Run, which will use Jumponium, even in your ship, and the Route 33, which should be a walk in the park in your ship.

Saying that I'm thinking about going there myself would be a bit optimistic - but I'm itching, and the Dolphin really makes these trips easy. Not necessarily from her jump range - there are better ships - but she almost flies on her own.

i made a direct line between colonia and Beagle recently and crossed teh abyss with no problems what so ever i made a similar route in my 33ly conda last year but used a fair bit of jumponium. i am heading abysswards again very soon to skirt along the sparse edge of stars.

Or...try and discover your own new route, and if you can find a viable route, especially if it is quick, put it up on EDSM

I am on xbox so whatever route I take will be lost into the void forever, I am going to try crossing roughly -6000 we will see how it goes (beagle is just the rough direction I will pop by beagle but ishams reach and a few other stars out that way are on the list so -6000 is the most convenient crossing if it works.

ill let you know

Thanks
