beef with 3.0

Not sure but the Material Traders dont show up on the galactic map when filtered , but you can find plenty of them on third party apps like INARA. Other than that I really enjoy the game thanks.

That's a bit buggy I think. But also it's intended for the traders only to show up if you found it before. I am pretty sure there are much more of those in the bubble.

That's from the features thread in the News Bulleting forum:

"• Each trader type only trades in their type of materials and can be found in different economy types. Locations material traders can be found are:
- Raw Materials Trader: found at extraction and refinery economies, only trades in raw material found on planet surfaces and planetary rings.
- Manufactured Materials Trader: Found at industrial economies, only trades in manufactured materials.
- Encoded Materials Trader: Found at High Tech and Military economies, only trades in encoded materials.
- Systems also need to be mid to high security systems and have populations between 1,000,000 and 22,000,000."

and

"• Material traders can be found using the new map view configuration ‘By Service’ option. This has a 40ly range and only shows traders that you have discovered."

That last sentence is key.

I've been using INARA. :)

Way to go, Frontier. Use them third-party devs! :)

Who said Beige was passe? :)

Oh dear stop eating beef while playing, try eating chicken instead. But seriously 3.0 takes many steps in the right direction as opposed to 2.4 which made me give up. Maybe the next few patches may clear some of the flaws but all in all much better Fdev.

Now i'm hungry.

As for the xbone fan those things run as hot as a toaster anyways. but just a thought you can now cook your beef on the xbox..........[smile] which i,m pretty sure was stated as a new feature in the patch notes.

Oh very true one of my clients had an Xbox it Melted (for real) the case but still worked! So I am sure you could cook a burger on it.

As to Elite D. it is the Mapping that gets me . As it does seem to be at times an after thought. Still once I get into it again it will be great. Love the Missions and the Engineers (some bits) k ok too.

I love it all, however all I want is a BLACK, Dolphin, T10, and Chieftain, until that day (next Nov/Dec, I hope), space dock they will be. Apart from that everything is hunky dory and tickety boo

If you think this is apt or not its just my opinion and i feel 3.0 could have been so much better.

The whole intention of 3.0 Engineering is to make life easier and not so much RNG, and that part of it is great, we can now craft items better than "most" god rolls and it seams to work, (my previous god roll FSD can beat the new one on range by 0.03LY.. but 0.03ly is not much)

material storage .. Great thanks FD

Major beefache - we made material gathering easier, or presumably so, because we can trade materials, presumably so... well manufactured trader anyone? filtered galaxy and none in sight, the fact there is only 2 traders in the bubble and you can only pin one blue print means this is still a EDDB & INARA task to know what you want, where it is, and how to get it

why didnt we just have material traders at every single commodity trade hub.. because that would be just too darn enjoyable to play that way, instead we take something simple and make it as complicated as possible with more terms and conditions than a payday loan

Minor beef' -

if you jump to another system and held the throttle down while the 5,4,3,2,1 countdown commenced you would enter the system at 0 throttle, now removed

Dolphin heat still is not fixed, shame on you FD

Game crashes if swapping two engineered parts over in outfitting

Xbox fans run alot louder

Dark side of planets no longer exist on known locations :(

Still a whole lot of beige out here

NPC's still cant fly

WIRE FRAMEs... why o why....

sorry for being negative... fly safe.

Have you tried to equip a collector with limpit and just gather all materials you can find instead of only picking up the mats you need like we kinda needed to do pre Beyond?

I did this yesterday, and within notime i was filling up my storage.

I agree with the blueprint information thing, this is annoying.
I've never been with happier with the idea of remote engineering, that seems unreasonable to me as much as I'm sure many people love it. What does annoy me is not being able to see all the modifications with their effects and requirements easily - that is something you should have access to once you've visited an Engineer. Anyway, baby steps. I think 3.0 has been great in general and I'm sure FD will keep pushing things along in the right direction even if there are missteps along the way.

No problems locating Raw Materials, Manufactured Materials and Encoded Materials (data trader) all within 2 minutes, all within 2 jumps of each other.
GalMap filters are wonderful things.

Never had a problem overheating a Dolphin. Only goes over 50% when charging FSD.

Own an XBox, only play Elite on PC - I've never actually played anything on the XBox.

The rest - must be an XBox thing I'll never experience.

Yes. Bizarrely, it's been discovered that all Xbox fans seem to like really heavy boots, so when they run it makes a horrendous noise. Luckily, most seem to prefer sitting on the couch. :D

Err yeah, I was referring more to equating a software patch with a hardware issue.

The fan on my RX 480 8GB in my PC screams quite a bit too, but I don't fault FD for that. ;)

I was the one that set it to Ultra after all. :D
