If speaking more seriously (hope the OP will pardon me for that for that off-topic):
Some of the advertised organizations are non-commercial, that's ok with me, however others - not, and can be even strongly affiliated with one of superpowers. I haven't checked if this advertisement - specifically on fleet carriers - is "context-specific", i.e. can you see the Core Dynamics logo while in the Imperial space and vice versa, for example. While my commander is neutral (at least up to now) that is possibly not the case for someone other.
One can suppose also that this is some kind of a fee for the parking lot - but that can be applied only for populated systems. In all other cases... yep, where is that special red button to disable it completely or at least be able to choose what could be shown on-board, and what - not? =)

Oh, I prefer to wait for that strange manipulator-like thing coming with Odyssey. Hope a screwdriver is in it's toolbox - the best hardware ad-remover=)
