Been working on my new Lion habitat area and getting better with the creative aspect of the game

Both habitats have terrain based caves that are covered with rocks and stones to make it look better, as well as various landscaping and what not. Guests can walk in ground level between the two or come upstairs for higher up views as well as a food court area (which I've still working on)

I like it, this is a good idea, I have been put off at the idea of having multiple habitats for the same type of animal, but I think for the sake of my lion breeding program it might be easier to manage them than to just give them weird names to tell them apart, does the fact you have 2 of the same type of animal in different enclosures negatively impact guests or anything, or do the guests act as if they are viewing 2 different animals although both are lions. XD

@Cile
They get an "oh no, not lions again" thought or something lol. Can't remember what it is exactly. Not always but sometimes. Noticed it with two timber wolf habitats side by side. If you keep the extra habitats out of viewing range or far enough apart they don't get the negative emote. I think his might be ok since they aren't conjoined.

Interesting to know, thanks for the info! :D

Honestly I did it because two male lions just can't get along, plus given we don't have any system in place for knowing the lineage of our animals, having each breeding line in a completely separate habitat just makes it a lot easier to manage and keep track of. Originally I did this with my Pronghorns by having one habitat in a staff only area, but that caused all sorts of bugs with inspectors and protesters.

I wish they would wipe that. Maybe my zoo wants to specialize in a species and therefore has different habitats with the same? And even if not, it's perfectly normal for zoos to keep some animals seperate in real life. E.G. the elephant bull from the females. I would like to have that too without the guests complaining. The contraception thing is rather unrealistic on most species.

Beautiful! You give me hope that I as well will improve one day. I love creative game and I want to embrace the creative aspect of Planet Zoo. But at the moment it's still overwhelming and intimidating. Especially if you watch YouTubers like the awesome BestinSlot who never played Planco but is SO GOOD already... But hey, we are getting there, aren't we? :)

May I add, I especially like that you used ramps and not stairs. While there are no parents with strollers or people with a physical disability in game, I always find it a pity if players have looots of stairs in their park. I'm physically disabled, using a walker, and accessability is kind of my pet peeve in these kind of games.

i also hope they adjust that, most zoo's indeed have their male seperate from the females and only put them together for breeding. Been a volunteer at a Zoo and they put the male only with the females twice a year during the breeding periods beside that they were seperate but in enclosures next to each other so they could still see each other. I want to do the same in Planet Zoo but not have this negative impact on my guests.

Just how i dont get that when 2 males or Females fight for the Alpha position they always get injured in the game, while in real life they not always get injured a lot of times one of the 2 just walks away when they smell defeat. It does happen in real life though that one of the 2 get injured but not always like in the game.

Funny thing is that on one side the game kept trying to force me to use stairs and it was driving me nuts. Apparently it had something to do with the path width of all things. On that side I had planned to use a narrower path and the game kept trying to connect with stairs and I couldn't find a way to override it. Ended up having to make the path wider to get it to use a ramp like on the other side.

They don't always get injured. Seems to vary by species. My Pronghorns almost always get injured, my Zebra rarely do. My Lions its a toss up.

Yeah, but I assume they have the male in the same exhibit complex, not in the different part of the zoo.

I don't think the game has any concept of an exhibit complex. Heck I don't eve know what you mean :D Each habitat is its own entity.

That said I haven't seen any comments from guests about their being two lions enclosures right next to each other. In fact these are getting some of the best "view" raings in my park. Sadly they are also at the back of my park and not getting many visitors.
